12 weeks

Seeing as on my baby blog I am not caught up I figured I would do a 12 week post on this blog.

Baby & Mommy @ 12 weeks

Size of baby: a whole 2.5 inches : )

Total Weight Gain/Loss: -10 the constant vomiting and not keeping any food down hasn't helped. When we went to the doctor last week he said I should concentrate on starting to gain weight. Hmmm okay, let me know how to throw up everything I eat AND gain weight. (I have zofran rx- it gives me migraines) : (

Maternity Clothes:  Considering I have lost 10 pounds all my clothes are still fitting wonderfully. haha

Gender: only God knows. we both think boy though. (based on the Chinese calendar and heart rate- I know silly reasons)

Movement: nothing yet- too early

Sleep: I love that I can come home and take a nap after work and still sleep through the night. I keep reading about how I won't be able to sleep in a few months so I am loving getting all this extra sleep- not to mention I sleep for 12 hours and STILL wake up tired. (try explaining that to a husband)

What I miss: BEING HUNGRY and eating whatever I want and keeping it down! BIG TIME!

Cravings: blowpops : ) I've had three in the last 24 hours.

Symptoms: THROWING UP, headaches, nausea, EXHAUSTED, just not feeling like myself and constant misery.

Excitement!!

Yesterday Justin had off and went to visit his good friend from the corps. They were in each others wedding and have been friends as long as I have known the two of them. They live about 30 minutes from here and he is a cop locally and his wife, a teacher. Since they both had off yesterday they decided to hang out like old times. : ) They had a sweet baby boy 10 months ago and he is the cutest thing ever!


Justin texted me on the way home telling me that Kristen (his wife) had sent him home with a bag of stuff for me! I was thrilled! I get home and look and see all sorts of goodies including:

The olive green Moby wrap complete with instruction manuel

the munchkin wipe warmer

the munchkin deluxe bottle & food warmer still wrapped!!

and a super cute shopping cart cover!! I was in awe of her niceness- it all looks BRAND new!! We are so thankful to have such great friends in our lives!! We are truly blessed and this baby is loved already so so much!! And we have already received gifts from other friends as well. Ragan, my SIL, is going to let me borrow her maternity clothes! WHOOP! One of my friends mailed a gift card, one bought a bunch of duck outfits & blankets, one overnighted a willow tree sculpture of a pregnant woman with her husband and one got a sweet frame with a carriage in it. So blessed. 


Now..if only the baby would start loving me instead of making me sick every day! Today I am 11 weeks. Maybe I'll do an 11 week update and post some weekly photos we've taken. Tomorrow we go back to the doctor again. We were supposed to go today but they had to move us back a day because my doctor's wife is having her baby!!!! The office is full of babies. The doctor we go to is really small. Just him and three nurses. I love having an office that I can call and they know who I am and vice versa. So the doctors wife had their first this past weekend, and one of the nurses had her first on the 6th! Babies babies everywhere!! 


Update: Yesterday after school I went to my friends house and she gave me a bunch of her maternity clothes to wear!! PERFECT! Even more blessed! 

Now that it's out...

I started a blurb book the morning we found out and will eventually get around to copy and pasting what I have written there onto blog posts (maybe this afternoon if I feel okay) but for now here are some pictures from my phone. They are a bunch of randoms but will explain more about each one later (but I'm at school and don't have  other photos)

random- I told Justin I'd get this for him for his birthday. : ) 

Random: all the men at school keep calling me "mom" now. At first I didn't even get it because I am so used to my friends calling me the mom of everyone and then it clicked like...ohhhh they are saying that cause I'm pregnant. DUH!

9-10-11

This past weekend I drove home to witness one of my longest friends get married and a sweet little girls 1st birthday party. Friday I drove home and chilled with my parents, ate some yummy Carrabba's, and just watched some tv. Saturday mom made some french toast and the three of us went outside and ate on the patio and enjoyed the cool weather. J had to be the career fair rep so he didn't get to come (He was NOT happy on Saturday). We got ready and headed to buy Ava's birthday present and check out Garden Ridge. We got home after awhile and I got ready for the wedding. Here are some photos from the wedding. I didn't bring my big camera, just my mom's little point and shoot so they aren't the best photos.

Sunday I slept in and got up and went to see Elissa's new house. It is BEAUTIFUL!! I feel like just yesterday we went and looked at the lot and now there is a house on it! It looks great!!

After visiting with them for awhile I headed to Ava's first birthday party. I didn't take any pictures- (I know can you believe it?) As soon as I got there I got put to work with the video camera so I videoed but no pictures. I am going to wait for Colleen/Pamela to post some photos and I'll still them. Ava was absolutely precious. Colleen had her dressed in a cute tutu and they worked so hard on all the decor and food. It was WONDERFUL! I have always said it and I'll say it again- those girls know how to throw a party/shower! They are great!! Happy Birthday Ava Rose!!!

Overall it was a GREAT weekend. Glad I got to see so many of my friends the past two weekends!!

Labor Day Weekend

I am so behind! Labor Day weekend we had a lot of fun. 


Friday night one of my best friends from college came down from dental school and spent the night. Justin went and got us Laynes and we just chilled watching tv before turning in for the night. We have definitely gotten too old for our college bed time. 


Saturday morning Megan B & I got up and got ready for our day. We went and got pedicures before meeting Justin and his best friend and wife, Daniel & Megan (the ones we went to Mexico with) for lunch. Daniel & Megan had come in for the opening football game against SMU on Sunday. We went and ate at Fuzzy's Taco Shop- always delish. After we got back to the house we caught up a little before Megan B & I got on the road to our girls weekend in Lake Conroe. 


If you have read my blog or know me- you know I have 5 best friends from college- "NANNNY" - Lauren, Chelsea, Jordan, Megan, Lauren (me), and Kimberly. However, since college we have all moved to different places. Lauren & Megan are in Dental School in Dallas, Chelsea & Kimberly work in Houston, Jordan works in Florida and we live in College Station so it is rare for us all to be together but we make an effort to have a girls weekend once a year (at least)- considering we will all be together again sometime in November for a Aggie football game. : ) 


We arrived at Lake Conroe @ Jordan's lake house and the rest of the weekend could not have been more perfect. Saturday we sat around and caught up while waiting for everyone to arrive. The lake is super low but we sat on the porch and by the pool. Sunday we got up and everyone had mimosas and orange rolls while flipping through bridal magazines planning all their weddings! : ) I stayed in my pj's all day long. It was wonderful. Just like college again. 

The day was over before we knew it and we had all stayed up way longer than we usually do doing nothing but reading magazines, watching movies, sitting on the porch, just being together. Monday morning arrived and we got up and Kimberly made us some awesome scrambled eggs with everything in them and we picked up, got dressed, went to the dock and took some photos and then were on our way home- our girls weekend complete. It was a definite success. 

Jordans dad wrote her an email after we left saying how lucky we are that we have these friendships and that we make an effort to keep them growing and when we look back in ten years we will be even more thankful we made lasting friendships. I am so thankful for these girls. They are some of my most sturdy rocks to lean on.
