Last Week- Busy Busy Busy!

Last week was CRAZY BUSY! We had an appointment every day of the week!

Monday I took Ascher to doctor because his BM's have been messed up. I took him off milk (soy), put him back on, oh gosh when will the milk saga ever end!? What I ended up doing was just cutting how much milk he is getting and slowly edging him back on it. It pisses me off when they say he doesn't need milk. I'm sorry I know there is research saying they dont and research saying they do. I'm on the side of they need it. Plus he loves his milk. He goes the fridge and says milk milk (in sign language). So sad. Anyways- after the doctor we ran to Target. Got some diapers, him a swim trunk and some other necessities.
Monday afternoon Pip & Ascher were having some fun...Pip really wanted a goldfish...

Tuesday morning Mom drove in from Dallas- she had been helping Jessica take care of Hadley and came to visit us on her way home (its only 28 miles out of the way). I am so thankful she came because it made my appointments so much faster because I didn't have to lug him in and out of the car. Tuesday evening I took Pip to get his haircut.

Wednesday Mom and I went nuts Spring Cleaning. We scrubbed baseboards, behind toliets, windows, blinds, all the stuff no one wants to clean. We worked so hard! We had decided that Tuesday & Wednesday would be our cleaning days and Thursday we would have fun. I took Pip to the vet on Wednesday morning and he cost a fortune. The cost of a puppy dog. After the vet, we got back to cleaning. Ascher was so chill hanging out...
and before long it was ready for nap time. I love how my sweet boy needs me to go to sleep. I made Mom come take a picture of us. He was passed out. I love our snuggle time.

He hadn't even been cleaning and he was passed out. Playing with Grammy for two days wore him out!!

Thursday we got up and went to get Ascher's photos taken. I am only a two months late...better late than never. I love how they turned out. He was quite the character though. I was exhausted by the time we were done. I chased him around the whole time. Phew!

Before we left to go take pictures, Mom went to the car for her shoes and he followed her to the window...how cute is that!? Class of 2034! WHOOP!

He fell asleep while we were looking through the pictures. It was the first time in a long time he was so tired he passed out in my arms. So sweet.
After pictures we got Panera Bread for lunch and went to Stein Mart for a quilt/pillow and blanket for my guest room. Our guest room now looks much more colorful and summer like : ) When we got home I had my yearly OB appointment so Mom watched Ascher one last time before she headed home.

It was a crazy busy week. But I feel like I got a lot accomplished before our fun filled weekend!! I'll be back later with a post of the adorable photos we got and our fun weekend!!  : ) Lots of fun!!

Phone Dump from May 13-19 & New Niece!

So why not just give a little recap of our week from May 13-19. We have been so busy. Its nothing that has been on the calendar or of utmost importance yet we have been super busy and I've loved every second- however, I am ready for bible study to start back up so we have a routine again. Anyways- here is the recap

Ascher chowed down on a grilled cheese & loved it- however, Chickfila is his favorite still.
That same day we went to Toyrus and got him a water table. I was so proud of myself. In the store it was listed for $39.99. Hmmm no thank you. So I pulled up Walmart on my phone and showed them it was only $29.99 there so they price matched it...then...I had a $25 gift card so I walked out of Toyrus spending $7!! I was so proud of myself. After Toyrus we went to TJMaxx cause it was right next door. I tried on what seemed like 900 things and not one thing looked cute or fit. Go figure. So I went to Ascher's section and loaded him up on some Polo tee's and the cutest Batman shirt. (For those of you who don't know- I'm obsessed with Batman)
That evening when Justin got home we went and played with the water table. He absolutely loved it. We stayed out there a good while and he was thrilled to splash in the water and throw the toys in and out of the table.

This is what happened when we came inside. It was bad. It was a full fledged tantrum.

Love this quote from my nightly reading of Green Sparkly Earrings

Friday- we hung out around the house and played. Just a normal day...Pip sunbathing...Ascher eating a snickers (in the wrapper), playing in the truck with Dad and my giant baked potato

But the biggest, most exciting thing that happened this week was my new niece was born!! Cambrey & Joe have three boys...I love this photo she posted a few nights before Hannah was born. They live in Virginia so we only get to see them ocassionaly but those boys are the cutest!! I just adore them.
I am so happy that Cambrey had a girl! They don't find out the sex so it was a complete surprise!! YAY for girls!! She is adorable and I am sure I will adore her as much as I do those three boys! Our niece & nephew count is now up to TWELVE!
Meet Hannah!

MOPS Shootout!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE MOPS. I have thoroughly enjoyed every meeting and have loved getting to know some SAHM mom's like myself.  It has been a lot of fun. I am even going to be a table leader next year and I can't wait!

Last Monday night we headed over to Valerie's house for our end of the year table party. We didn't do your typical end of the year party...instead we had a SHOOTOUT!
We all brought our guns & ammo and headed out on their land to enjoy a little shooting. I had never shot a gun before and I was so excited. Granted, I shot the gun Justin carries first (so obviously not a big one) and I- who had never shot a gun before am an idiot and put my hand right up on the top and when I fired...OUCH!! I took a chunk out of my thumb! I had to sit down because I thought I was gonna pass out. Way to start the MOP shoot out right!?! But before long I felt better and was ready to watch some more...took me awhile but I did get back behind the gun. I'll let the pictures tell the story.

 Love my hubby
I finally got behind the AR myself. It didnt hurt my shoulder near as bad as I thought it would.
 I was super excited I did it! : )
Then Justin emptied the clip once I was done.

After shooting we went back to the house and ate dinner and had to head home from little man's bedtime. It was nice because we had a babysitter for the kids at their house so we weren't far from them the whole night. It was such a fun end of the year party. I love MOPS! Ok- my kid wants lunch...guess I should go feed him.

Celebrating Mother's Day

Sunday morning we drove home. I got to the house around noon. We had a really chill afternoon and it was PERFECTION!! I came home to flowers, a sweet card and homemade chocolate covered strawberries. It was just what I wanted! I always tell Justin that him spending time on something for me is so special.
We played for awhile and then it was afternoon nap time. I put Ascher down and decided that since it was Mother's Day I would just take a nap with him. It was nice. (One day I'm gonna take a nap by myself though.) After nap time we went outside and played in the backyard. It was a beautiful day so we enjoyed the weather while Daddy cooked a DELICIOUS dinner for us!

Bubbles & a Ball- two of his favorite things

A boy & his dog.

Sweet boy. After playing- we came inside and devoured the deliciousness Daddy had made.
Herb Crusted Chicken in Basil Cream Sauce
After dinner we all just had a normal, low key evening full of sweetness from both my sweet baby boy and my sweet hubby. I am so blessed to be a Mother and I am thrilled beyond words that I get to be Ascher's mom. I am blessed to have such a wonderful mom who has shown and taught me so much about being a mom.

Children are a heritage from the Lord,
    offspring a reward from him.

Mama's Weekend Away

So I have blogged before about my NANNNY and this weekend was no different. I love being with the girls. Its like college all over again. : ) let me back up...

Friday Justin had off so Natalie & I went and saw The Great Gatsby. I was a little nervous because I just re-read it and I hate when movies don't stay true to the book but I think they did a fabulous job not only sticking to the book but the filming, casting, set, everything. I truly enjoyed it! At one point in the movie, I leaned over to Natalie and told her I wanted to be friends with Gatsby. : )
After the movie Justin went with Carson & Lee to the shooting range and I made soft monster cookies. (Delicious)
When they got back from the range we all went and ate Cici's for dinner. (Yum- let me tell you.) Ascher passed out when we got home so Justin and I just enjoyed a night hanging out.

Saturday morning we had a low key morning- Justin mowed, I showered & went to the mall and got ready for Lauren's bachelorette party. While Justin was mowing Ascher was banging on the bathroom window saying DADADA!! It was super cute.

Chelsea & Kimberly picked me up around 12:45ish and we headed to Dallas- after a stop at Chikfila. The drive wasn't that bad at all and before we knew it we arrived at Lauren's house. She has such a beautiful home in Dallas- she is moving to Arizona is two weeks though. : ( We hung out and got ready for her lingerie shower at her sisters house.

We drove a quick 3 minutes to her sisters house where they had decorated everything so cute! Her best friend will write a blog post about it- I'll link when she does. It was a lot of fun and she got a bunch of super cute things! We ate some yummy food, drank some mimosas and headed to dinner.

We went and ate at Manny's Tex- Mex. We had a private room and its was fabulous! We all had a card at our seat that said who has the groom!? Whoever had him won I prize. I had Drake, Chelsea had Bieber, Lauren had Efron and Kimberly had Paul. It was cute. We all ate lots of queso, told funny stories & had a blast. We didn't leave the resturant until after 10.

We decided to just go back to Lauren's house and put on our pj's and hang out. It was such a perfect plan for us. We aren't big bar people so it was perfect! Before we changed I made us take a few more pictures

It was good catching up with Lauren and I can't wait for her wedding!! Less than a month away!! Woot Woot!! Sunday morning we got up early (boooo- mama didn't get to sleep in) because we wanted to get back early so we could spend mothers day with our families. Granted, Im the only one who is a mom but Chelsea & Kimberly wanted to get back to go eat with their moms. It was a fabulous Friday & Saturday!! I'll do a separate Mothers Day post.
