We interrupt to tell you...

So the main reason I have been so behind on my blog is because we have a little announcement to make. Back in August when Grandma passed away, the same morning Justin got a phone call offering him the job in Houston. So I got in the shower than morning and cried and sang to myself...You give and take away but my heart will choose to say LORD BLESSED BE YOUR NAME. So we clung to that over the next few months. Everything started moving 100 mph and life was crazy. So in October, when we lost the baby we said again...the Lord promises that we will grieve, but our grief will turn to joy and that once again he would take away from us- but during the time when he takes from us, we will chose to praise his name. SO...when shortly after we saw a baby on the ultrasound screen we were shocked and surprised and once again knew the Lord had given to us again. Baby is due end of July!

Once I am all caught up on this blog thing I will write out the story of finding out, my weekly updates, etc. I am working hard to get caught up!!

November: Kimberlys Bachelorette Party

The first weekend in November we trekked to NOLA for Kimberlys Bachelorette party! We drove down on Friday morning and didn't arrive until almost dinner. It takes quite a while to get to NOLA from Houston when we had to stop 800 times because one of us would have to pee. Five of us rode together in Kimberly's moms suburban so we had plenty of space. Once we got there we checked out our rooms, set stuff up and headed down to the hotels happy hour while we waited for the rest of the gang (who flew in) to arrive.
After everyone arrived we searched for somewhere to eat dinner. We finally found someplace that didnt have a forever long wait and we chowed down. I had a headache so I was happy to go with Jordan to pick up the rest of the friends flying in. We drove and picked them up, went back to hotel, they dropped off their stuff and met the rest of everyone out. Jordan and I stayed in and went to sleep .We are lame.

Saturday arrived and I got up to put my contacts in...well...apparently someone when they came in at 2 am knocked over my contacts (I am allergic to solution so I have to use special stuff that if gets knocked over my contacts dry out and if they don't dry out I can't put them in my eyes for 6 hours) so I was screwed. Thank goodness I brought my glasses. I was a total hipster all day.

We ate breakfast at hotel and headed over to the French Quarter where we landed at good ol' Pat O'Briens. We snagged a table outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. I, of course, had to take a pic in front of the jute box where Mom first saw Dad 37 years ago…but mostly we just sat out on the patio and enjoyed each others company before deciding we were starving and needed some food!

After lunch we went back to hotel and took naps and got ready for lingerie shower and dinner out. We headed up to their room and had a good time opening presents and goofing off.

However, before long it was time for our dinner reservations so we walked down the street to dinner. It was a very fancy meal but it was very good!! By the time it was over it was well after 11 and Jordan and I again played the ol' woman card (Jordan is pregnant- and I was too but unaware of it yet, but played safe just in case) and went back to hotel. Kimberly had plenty of girls with her so weren't worried about her being on her own! It was such a fun night!!

The next morning we all got up and loaded up before heading to brunch together to talk about the memories we had made the past two nights. It was such a fun weekend and I am so glad I got to go and spend time with my besties!!! Love them!!

October: Halloween

Poor Ascher didnt get a very exciting Halloween and poor mommy didnt get any trick or treat candy. : ( After Hadleys party we had to come back to College Station so I could let the cleaners and carpet cleaner in the house on Monday (the 29th). So Justin headed to Houston while Ascher and I had a slumber party with Kim & Benjamin. And since we were in town we headed up to the church fall festival. Well it was a bust for kiddos our age. There wasnt much for them to do so we headed back to Kims and let the boys play but not without taking a few photos.

At least the boys looked cute and Ascher sat still for getting his face painted. It was still fun even if there wasn't much for them to do.

So when real Halloween rolled around I was determined to take him trick or treating. Every year we go trick or treating with the Cokers so it was sad this year that we weren't in College Station to go with them. : ( I got Ascher all dressed but then realized no one in moms neighborhood does trick or treating. So we just put him in costume, put him in the wagon and took some pics. Sad day. Next year he will look so cute and we will get LOTS of candy. Im determined.

Happy Halloween from my two favorite puppy dogs!!

October: Hadley Turns 1

After the movers had loaded up our truck and headed to Houston. We loaded up our car and headed to Dallas for Hadley's 1st birthday. Mom & Dad had gone ahead earlier that day with Ascher. Friday seemed like such a long day but we were so happy to get there. When we arrived, Mom & I helped Jess finish up some last minute things for Hadleys birthday party the next morning before we all went to sleep. Saturday morning was Hadleys birthday party. It was super cute. She did it at 10:30 (I think...somewhere around there) and had breakfast foods. (the best donuts in Allen, mini quiche, muffins, fruit) It was a perfect 1st birthday. Family & a few friends all came over and loved on little Hadley as she turned ONE! Here are some pictures.

Then it was time for Cake. There is something about watching a baby tear into a cupcake that is JUST for them and no one is gonna tell them no. and Hadley LOVED it.

But before long it was time for a bath and next outfit change. (The child had 3 outfits for her party)

After her bath she opened presents (I was putting Ascher to sleep during this so I missed any photo ops) The two photos above are two of my favorite photos of Hadley. She is precious. Love her!

Happy 1st Birthday Hadley Bear!!

October: Moving Day

Whew. Moving day arrived. Mom took Ascher to Kingwood with her so that we wouldn't have to worry about him with the movers & packers in and out all day. It worked out great. The packers came and packed up the entire house. I told Justin the day they packed was the first day I felt relaxed in months! It was glorious. I sat on the bed of the truck and hung out. It was beautiful weather & for the first time Justin and  I had no worries (other than everything we owned being packed and loaded to go to storage for a month and a half)

They came back the next day and it was just as peaceful. I sat outside the entire day. I think it totally helped that our movers were great. The first day they were there it was 9 am and one packer had brown eyed girl on his phone singing at the top of his lungs. When the people love what they do it made it easier for me to trust him with my stuff. He was happy and they kept calling him the kitchen genie. (haha) The stress of someone else doing everything melted away and I let them take control!!

and so it begins...
my view from where I sat majority of day

one last drive by
It was crazy to watch as everything we owned drove away on Friday night but we had faith they would take good care of it. Whew. It was a wonderful experience and I am so so thankful we were able to have packers & movers. It was glorious!!
