Brynn: 7 months old: 1-30-15

Brynn Madison
7 months old
January 30, 2014

Brynn's Stats
Weight: 17 lbs 5 ounces
Height: 26 inches- last time they checked
Head: 16.5- last time we went to doctor
Teeth: Nope…none yet. I keep swearing that she is getting one with the way she drools and the faucet that was her nose one week this month. Also I blame teething for her continually getting up in the middle of the night along with fussiness throughout the day. Apparently it not teeth…just her.

Clothing size: 3-6 months- she fits into 9 months towards the end of the month so I’ve been switching out and depending on the outfit she wears both. Like for example if I really love a 3-6 month outfit…she fits in it.

Diaper Size: size 3- Swadlers

Eats: Dropped nursing to just morning, night, middle of the night and middle of the day. So she is getting a bottle mid morning, lunch, dinner and a big bottle before bed. She prefers solids over milk and is a little chunk. They always say looks for signs for them to be interested in your food. Ascher was never like that- perhaps because he threw up everything he ate. Brynn on the other hand LOVES to eat! She opens her mouth for everything!! The other night she ate my pizza crust. I gave it to her to chew on and before I knew it I was digging a chunk out of her mouth because she had figured out she needed to put it in her mouth and pull at it. She also loves puffs. She has had fun this month trying to pick them up and put them in her mouth. She misses most the time especially because I break them in half so she won’t choke on them. She loves sweet potatoes & pears. A current favorite is Beechnut baby food pineapple, pear, & avocado. She tears it up. I took her off all medication. I felt like it wasn't helping anything. She still fussed all the time and her stomach was constantly hurting/gassy/constipated. She is so little to need to be on medicine I am confident in taking her off.

Sleeping patterns:  Justin and I are wearing thin. At 7 months old the girl still gets up 2 times a night and is up for the day at 5 am. Naps are getting more predictable. A morning nap around 9ish when I take Ascher to school and an afternoon around 12:40-1ish. The days I get them both to sleep at the same time are GLORIOUS. Granted, some days Ascher will take a nap and in that time frame Brynn will nap, wake up and nap again.

Routine:
I hate that I can’t just write out a daily routine for her. I need to be better. She would probably be happier if I had more of a schedule that was the same every day but I am sure all you moms of more than one can agree. No two days are the same. I wish more than anything she at least had consistent sleeping patterns. They ARE getting better but still not consistent.

Favorites & Little Facts:
Starting to like the jumperoo- not really jumping yet like Ascher was
loves to sit on the floor by herself and reach for her toys and then of course put them into her mouth
speaking of putting things into her mouth..she chews on everything constantly. The second anything goes into her hand it is in her mouth
nuby teething ring- the day after she turned 7 months, Pip ate it : ( Going to re-order another one
she is very chill in the bathtub- however now that she can sit up she likes to splash and always wants to chew on a bath toy the whole time she is in the tub
LOVES our cell phones. she could have a bucket of toys right in front of her but if she sees your phone she would prefer to chew on that
dislikes: sleeping, the carseat (getting better though- just hates it initially and after we have been in it for extended periods of time), changing her diaper- tries to roll over onto her stomach and flexes her legs
