Kingwood & Cute Shoes

So since Sunday night I have been at home in Kingwood. After Justin left on Sunday afternoon I packed up and drove home. It has been relaxing and non-stressful.

Monday I spent the entire day working on homework. I had to do a webography for math and science. For those of you who dont know what they are, they are not very fun. You take the TEKS for a grade level and find websites that go with each one. Write a description, evaluation and a print screen. It doesnt sound like much and its not hard, just extremely time consuming.

Tuesday I got up and one of my mom's friends and one of my former teachers came over for coffee with my mom. I sat with them until I had to leave for my hair appt. I went and got my hair highlighted and cut. my word was "chunky" My hair was all one length and was bothering me. Now it has more layers. After getting my hair done I came home and mom and I went to Target. My favorite place. I got the CUTEST pair of shoes.
They are featured in INSTYLE magazine and were on the Today show this morning. Yet they are from Target and were only $25. Such a steal. We came home for about 30 minutes then had to meet Dad to turn in the equinox. (only a month and a half too late- no air conditioning story). So we turned the car in and went to Carababa's. YUMMY!

Today I was finally able to sleep in. Pip has a hard time adjusting to new places and likes to get up super early so today he finally slept in until 10:30 with me. I was tired. I already called in my rx, mom ironed some of my clothes, and now she is sewing a vest for me. All I have left to do is pack up everything and get on the road. Colleen is planning on coming over tonight. Jackson (her dog and Pip's dad) wants to play with his son. : ) We are gonna clean out my closet and get me ready for the professional world. I can hardly wait. I get my placement tomorrow and start next Tuesday...its finally happening....

"The First Day of The Rest of Your Life"

Today was a very exciting day! We returned to the house Justin fell in love with yesterday...hold on- let me back up.....
***Saturday was a fun day. We woke up early and went to the realtors office where we left to go search for houses. We looked at a few. I really liked one and Justin didnt like it or vice versa. Finally one of the last ones we looked at we both fell in love. Neither one of us thought we would like it but we loved it. It was mainted wonderfully and JUST what Justin needs. Perfect size, perfect location, perfectly maintained. After that house every other house we looked at just didnt compare. Saturday afternoon we spent the day at Taylor's contemplating the houses and just spending time together..***

Back to where I was...
Mr. & Mrs. Knight came up to College Station and we all went to the house. We met the realtor and Taylor at the house at 2pm. We went back through the house and looked at everything for a second time. We all did something to inspect the house on our own. My inspection was the bathrooms. I flushed every toliet, turned on every sink & shower, made sure all of the stoppers worked, checked the dishwasher and the kitchen sinks. After reviewing the house for almost an hour, we went back outside where Justin decided he would put in an offer. : ) AHH!! The big words- A CONTRACT. So keep Justin and the sellers in your prayers over the next week or two as the process is in the works.

CAN YOU BELIEVE MY MAN IS MOVING TO COLLEGE STATION!?

I COULD NOT ASK FOR MORE....
P.S. The blog title came from Mrs. Knight as she was leaving this afternoon-
Today is the first day of the rest of Justin's life.
so just like before- keep him in your prayers. His timing is perfect.

It Goes A Little Something Like This

Today has been busy and its only noon. I woke up this morning and took Pip to the vet where he got his second to last puppy shot. He is almost all grown up. Since he had to get a shot I took him to Petsmart afterwards to get him a new red collar (he grew out of the other one) and a toy for being such a good boy at the Vet. Mom said that he is a dog, he doesnt know that is why I got him a toy but I think he does. After Petsmart I stopped by Jamba Juice and got me and chelsea a smoothie. Once home I was worried about Pip because they said he might have an allergic rxn to the shot, but he got home and started playing crazy with Drake. They ran around the backyard until they were muddy and exhausted. I brought Pip inside and locked him in the bathroom while I prepared myself to give him a bath. He had a good time getting me soaked. After bath time he ran around and played with his new squirrel toy and now has retired to his kennel and is sleeping soundly.

I have made a mess of my room. I wanted to deep clean everything. So I took everything off my bed, emptied everything out of my bathroom, and have loads and loads of laundry I was planning on doing while I worked on some homework. However, now that I have bathed the dog and got gross outside I dont feel like doing any of that (hence the blog). However, I did get an email saying we have received our supervisor teacher and will get our placements on Thursday when we show proof of liability insurance. I am so excited. All day yesterday I just wanted to be in the classroom. I'm tired of sitting in the classroom, I want to be active in my own classroom!! I have officially chosen College Station to do my student teaching so it looks like I'll be here another semester! : ) Which is fine by me since Justin will be here....he is coming tonight and we are going to go with the realtor tomorrow morning at 10 to look at houses! I am so excited. In case yall didnt know, I AM THRILLED!!!

So this post has been totally pointless and me just rambling on about what I have done since I woke up this morning...soo interesting I know! I guess I'll go put clean sheets on the bed and get to cleaning the bathroom! YUCK! : )

P.S. Two days ago I gave Pip benadryll because he chews on his feet and the vet said thats allergies and to give him some benadryll and he should stop. So I gave him some Children's and within ten minutes this is what he looked like.....
Of course it didnt work out as nicely as I had planned. He slept till about 2 only 15 minutes after I went to bed and he started going crazy. I was exhausted and didnt want to listen to him cry and I had class in the morning so I just let him out in my room and went back to sleep. He was AWAKE ALL NIGHT! It was awful. I felt like I had a little baby puppy. He dug, scratched, cried, barked, everything! At one point I woke up just in time to watch his little body flying towards me as he jumped on top of me from the bottom of the bed!
Finally when I got up around 6:45 he went back in his kennel and went to sleep. I was so irritated. I picked up my books off the floor where I had laid them the night before when I was done studying and they felt wet...I smelled them...sure enough that little brat peed on 2 out of my 4 books ( on the binding- ALOT of pee) and all over my binder! I was furious but didnt have time to deal with it or I would be late. I put him in his kennel and left for the day. He has been very obedient ever since. I think he knows mommy was NOT happy.

My Dog is Oh So Smart...

So today at Wal-Mart I picked up a bone for my beloved puppy. He has been chewing on two inch bones but he basically devours them within one sitting so I invested in a 95 cent 4 inch bone. I gave it to him and he took it and started searching...I knew what he was doing....

He found his spot and began to dig. Only his digging was to no avail considering it was my carpet he was digging. I just let him continue laughing to myself. Only moments later, he dropped the bone from his mouth and then patted the carpet back with his back paws and walked away. Could this be? My dog really thinks he has buried his bone and no one can see it. I laugh and get in the shower.

Upon getting out of the shower I go over to my dresser and accidentally step on the bone. Pip's ears perk up and he looks from me to the bone back to me...back to the bone. I laughed. He really was concerned that I had found his hiding place. And by the looks of these pictures....its not exactly camouflage with my carpet....oh how I love my oh so smart puppy...

For almost two years I have been waiting for the day Justin and I would be together in the same town. I kept telling myself I could wait till January to be with him but now that it is happening before that I am absolutely beside myself. It is a indescribable feeeling. Every time I just think about it I start giggling and start crying because I am so happy. I feel like I have been waiting so long I didn't know how it would feel when it actually happens. This semester started out rough and though everything is not perfect and there are still obstacles I am facing, I am daily reminded that God's timing is always perfect and he always provides. Life is good and I am so in love~

Addiction

So not all addictions are bad...right!?

I was laying in bed last night writing this blog in my head. Of course, it will have sounded so much better as I lay in my bed almost falling asleep writing a poetic blog. : ) Now it is just words on a computer screen which sounded so much better in my head.

I was thinking about how my project 365 is almost coming to an end (I mean I have 4 months left, but that's nothing when you think of the past 7 months I've already done) and I have decided I cant just stop taking a picture of the day once it hits December 31st. I must continue. It has become an addiction. Everyday I am constantly looking for things or people that could be my "picture of the day." I know many of you probably think it is lame and no one looks at it, but this past month being in Virginia and looking at granny's pictures, very few of them were labeled. It made me want to label and keep track of EVERYTHING I do. Even if it is as simple as washing a poor dog or one of the many pictures of Pip.

I have always loved photography. When I was younger my parents bought me a really nice photographers camera (right before they went digital). I loved it. I took a photography class on how to use the aperture, and shutter speed. At one point (still would love to do this) I wanted to become a professional photographer. This past year I have been able to dive back into my love of pictures. Life is captured in photos and I plan on continuing capturing life one day at a time.

With that said, though the year may be coming to an end in 4 short months, don't get too excited because the next chapter of Project 365 is "Project 365 Part II 2009."

maybe even for Christmas/Birthday I'll ask for a new big camera...a digital one : )

just a thought....

Second Chances

So this morning Carla and I were just being lazy and David my neighbor knocks on the door frantic and pissed off. His roommates friend dropped off a baby black lab puppy and said take care of it and never came back for it and his roommate hasn't been taking care of the baby either. So David is freaking out that the puppy is almost dead.

So knowing me and Carla we rush to the rescue. We are informed that Davids roommate has taken him to the vet, given him all his shots, and has heartguard and flea prevention just hasn't been feeding him or taking care of him other than vet visits. We get to the back yard (which is pure dirt- no grass) and the poor little guy is a mess. He is a black lab that looks yellow from the behind because of the amount of mud and dirt are covering him. He is bloated beyond belief because he hasn't eaten in days. So Carla & I take him to my backyard where we get him a cup of food and some water (both of which he devours) then turn on the hose. I have puppy shampoo for Pip so I pulled that out and we went to work. It was the cutest thing.
HE LOVED THE WATER. I don't think he had ever had a bath before. He just lay there and let us wash him up good.
Pip and him are already best friends. When we came inside it was like he didn't know what to do. I guess he has never been in a house. He already knows sit, NO, and come. He is a really calm Lab. He just lays around (we thinks its because of his lack of nutrition). He is adorable.
My proposition for Justin is I feel it is a wonderful house warming present. This dog is on his last leg and is still so young. : ) Justin says he is thinking about it...regardless if Justin takes Chance (his new name-*he didn't have a name before that* because we are giving him his second chance- Carla named him)- we have given him a second chance. I'm gonna go see if I can find a red collar (Justin's favorite color). : )
