Prayers Needed

Today my grandma (dad's mom) was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She is 89. The doctors say it is in the early stages and they are hoping to be able to do a mastectomy as long as some tests come back showing it has not spread. She will hear the results back by Friday, hopefully. Please say a prayer for her. She lives in Lake Charles alone. : ( My grandfather passed away in February of 2008 so this has got to be rough for her. God listens and will hear our prayers when we raise our voices to him.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Now I really am walking by faith even when I can NOT see.

Lauren Knight Photography

Well there are still 15 days left to vote...but Lauren Knight was winning by a ton so...I went ahead and ordered business cards that say Lauren Knight Photography! I am super excited. I also have my first shoot on Saturday! I am so excited. I am going to do my fellow teacher, her family and her two ADORABLE boys! I have also started my own photography blog as well as email!

I also was walking Pip and talking to the regular dog walkers around the apartment and got two more people interested in me taking their family photos for Christmas cards, etc. so I gave them my email and we are going to set that up as well! I think I have found my hobby...which hopefully will turn into something very successful!

I want to market to children, families, senior portraits, maternity, babies & pets. I don't think I want to take on Weddings anytime soon! : )

Photography

Being that I am at home again today due to the fact I still had a fever and still have no voice but am feeling better I have vacuumed the whole apartment, ran the dishwasher and am now doing laundry-however, I have been blog stalking people and my passion for photography just overflows! My dad always had the good nice camera growing up (even if it was old) and I had my first nice "big" camera at age 15 and took photography classes with my mom. Now that Justin and I have purchased a Cannon 50D and I see so many photography blogs- I just want to be a photographer- more than anything. Before I came to college I told my dad I wanted to major in Photography- he told me he wouldn't pay for a major that couldn't pay for itself. : ) Granted I love being a teacher and there is a new adventure everyday but I LOVE photography! Just love love love it! So if you wanna do a photo shoot let me know! : ) Whenever, wherever! Justin is out of town and I will be very bored this weekend! ; ) Maybe last weekend lit my fire...we (Ragan & I) took photos on campus and some of them turned out pretty neat (granted I had pretty models) Granted, none of them are AMAZING- but I am just beginning : )

Sick

One of the many joys of being a first grade teacher is that little 6 and 7 year olds don't know how to cover their mouths when they cough....hence the reason I am at home today with a fever, headache, NO VOICE, and the worst sore throat ever! I went to the doctor after school yesterday and she put me on a Z-pack but this morning I woke up and can NOT talk and feel like poop! I haven't moved out of bed besides to take Pip out. But I love z-pack so hopefully by tonight once I take my second dose I will be feeling better. I hate to miss school. When I go back tomorrow it is like someone else has been running my room, my kids are all off, my plans are all messed up and my little babies missed me and as much as I want to pull out my hair some days, I miss them too! oh and Justin is gone again : * (

Saturday before the game Brad calls me over to the stroller to tell me he has a present for me! I had no idea and was thrilled when I saw a schoolhouse with my name on it!!

After the pre-game festivities Justin and Daniel headed into the game while I hung out with Ragan, Brad, Avery, Ladd, Ashley & Greyson.
