Ascher
14 months
May 29, 2013
I can't believe I am actually writing this on his actual 14 month birthday! We had a low key day today. He is getting two teeth and they are the worst ones yet. Pamela & Marley came over and played this afternoon and this evening we went on a family walk. Here is what Ascher has been up to this month...
- still wearing a size 4 diaper- I got some Pampers Cruisers and after getting used to Target brand I actually think Target holds more! I miss my target diapers. Got to go tomorrow and get some
- still weighs 22 lbs & wearing 12 month clothes- 18 month is comfy on him as well. Depends on the brand
- FIVE teeth! Wow- in two months he has gone from no teeth to two teeth to FIVE, almost 6!! The sixth one will be popped out by morning I'm sure of it.
- no more bottles (sometimes I give in and give him one before he goes to sleep- its so sad when he sits there and begs for one)
- still two naps a day
- not a fan of bath time once his hair/face gets wet- I put some bath balls in the tub and that has been distracting him
- hums himself to sleep- sweetest thing ever
- carries around water bottles & puts them in vases/trucks/ anything that they will fit in
- could eat goldfish and animal crackers at 7 am
- loves his trucks- pushes them around like they are driving all day, then puts them together on the couch- also drives his trucks along the couch, entertainment, etc.- its so cute that he understands how they are supposed to move
- climbing on everything
- turns in circles until he falls over laughing
- loves being outside and throws major fit when we come inside
- separation anxiety at all time high
Things he does when you ask:
- you wanna eat? He goes to high chair
- Need a new diaper? Goes to room
- Go get me shoes. He goes and gets shoes (granted sometimes they are Justins or not the pair I was talking about but a shoe is a shoe)
Things he says:
- mama, dad, pip, truck, bubble, car, apple, water, ice dog, cat, tractor, ok, bye, go, cold, juice, boat, choo
- Apple is his favorite. I think he is trying to say Ascher- but he does LOVE apples. Its funny- almost everything is apple. It sounds like AP--PLE.
- I'm impressed with his talking. Mom says I didn't talk near as much (She actually took me to the doc because I wasn't talking)
