Late Wednesday night we found out that Matt, our minister couldn't sign the marriage license, so we went into panic mode. Mom and Dad started freaking out that we would NOT be going to the justice of the peace and I just cried. We thought of 8 million different options but decided that we couldn't do anything this late so we should just go to bed and deal with it in the morning. Thursday morning Mom called my youth minister from high school, John. John has always been very special to me. In high school I had a lot of youth ministers but John was special. He came the beginning of my senior year but I was on the committee that choose him and I learned more from John than I thought possible. I still remember his sermons and think of how they have impacted my life all the time!! Anyways...mom called him in tears and explained to him our situation and his response just made mom cry harder...he would be honored to be a part of the wedding and would do whatever we needed him to do. So we set up that we would go to the church at 3, have a little ceremony to make our marriage legal. I called Justin and told him the news and we both were relived that it was all going to work out and he pointed out that it ended up being more perfect that expected because if Matt couldn't do the ceremony I was going to ask John so this way it worked out that we both got what we had wanted. So Friday at 3, I put on my mothers wedding hat and my white dress for the rehearsal and we headed to church-

We got to church, discussed what we needed to do to make it legal, and got started.

It was really special for me to wear my mom's wedding hat. If you ask my dad what he remembers about my mom on their wedding day, it is her hat. So it meant a lot to me, mom and dad for me to wear her hat. Plus I LOVE hats. : ) After the ceremony was complete and the license was signed we headed back to my house to get ready for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.
