Pumpkin Carving

Last night we had so much fun. I had purchased a pumpkin that I knew Ascher would fit in. It has been sitting on our front porch for awhile and last night was the night! I was so excited when Justin said he would carve it for us!
Ascher loved watching his Daddy carve it and was in such a good mood.
Before long the top had come off and he started on the leg holes...

And then it was done. I could hardly wait to see what little Ascher looked like as a pumpkin. Hehe! Granted it was dark so the pictures are really bright- I'm thinking about taking some more photos today during the day once he wakes up outside in the grass. We will see. He wasn't too sure at first but he got comfy and really loved it. He hammed it up for the camera and by the end was chewing on the side of the pumpkin.

Happy Halloween Everyone!!!

Campus Photos

We got home and crashed. We were both super tired. I had stayed up all night so Justin put Ascher to bed and I passed out. Saturday we just took it easy all day. Unpacking, hanging out and resting. For dinner, we went and ate at Chuys for Natalies birthday & to her house for some cookie cake. After dinner Ragan, Brad & the girls got to our house and spent the night.

We got up super early on Sunday morning to head to campus. They were having professional photos taken and I tagged along. Before long, Justin and Ascher came up as well and we just walked around campus with them taking pictures and enjoying the day. The photographer got some AMAZING photos of them! I can’t wait to see them! He even took two photos of Ascher. I played with my camera while they took their photos and I got a few cute ones of Ascher and a few family photos.

It was a lot of fun. Justin and I both agreed we never go up to campus just to go. We always go for games but we probably wont take Ascher up there to take pictures so it was a perfect opportunity to take some photos especially since he was born in College Station it will be extra special to him : )

Hadley Ava Pt. 2

After taking pictures Dad drove me to the hotel to feed Ascher and pass out. I slept for about 2 hours before my little man woke me up talking away. We got dressed, checked out and headed to Jessicas house where Mom & Dad were. I showered, we ate breakfast & lunch and went back to the hospital. We visited awhile, took pictures and loved on little Hadley before Justin and I hit the road to come back home.

Hadley Ava

So this past week Jessica went to the hospital on Wednesday because her blood pressure was high. They monitored her for two hours and sent her home. HMPH. Thursday she went back to the hospital for high blood pressure again and YIPPIE! They decided to induce her. She was 38 weeks so her doctor was a little hesitant but thankfully she did. (We are not a fan of her doctor anymore)

I hurried and packed and waited for Justin to get home. It worked out perfectly that this was Justins weekend off so he could come with us. We were off and I was so nervous I was going to miss it. She had decided she wanted Roy, her hubby and me in the delivery room and I was panicked I wouldn't get there in time. Thankfully Justin drove or we probably would have ended up with a ticket. : )  The whole time I kept telling Justin I was more anxious about her birth than I was about Ascher. I think it was just because I wasn’t there yet. Once we arrived though I was much more relaxed and ready to get this show on the road! However, once we got there she slowed down. We took some pictures and waited…
I love this picture- Jessica had just told us she was pregnant a few weeks before I gave birth and so while in the hospital we took our only "bump" photo together. So we made sure we recreated the picture but this time my bump was in my arms, 7 months old! Haha! : ) I am so glad we have these pictures & memories.

After awhile Justin took Ascher to the hotel and we made Jessica turn out the lights and try to rest. It was close to midnight. We all left the room and let Jess & Roy get some rest. (not that they did). We all hung out in the waiting room till about 2:30. It was so slow waiting. I was so anxious! The called me back and said she was a ten and that they would start pushing soon. She started pushing at 3:30 and pushed for awhile. They finally called the doctor (too late if you ask me) and then we waited another 40 minutes for the doctor to get there- even though Hadley was crowning! It was ridiculous! Hadley Ava made her arrival at 5:12 am weighing 8 lbs 15 oz!!! I got to taking pictures like a crazy woman!

The nurse asked if Roy wanted to cut the cord (once the doc already had cut the big cord- basically just to trim it) and Roy said No (he has a very weak stomach- almost passed out and threw up the entire labor) and the nurse turned to me and said do you want too? I said YEAH!!
I was so thankful I got to be there. It was such an amazing experience!! It is so different being on the other side of the table. Jessica did awesome! Hadley is beautiful and I am on lucky Aunt!

Aggies vs LSU

Last weekend was a blast! It was the Aggie vs. LSU game!! WHOOP! My parents went to LSU so it was quite fun bantering back and forth…that is until we lost. Go Figure! It was still so much fun! It was crazy here in College Station. There were sooo many people. Friday night Megan & Daniel arrived and we caught up. Saturday we got up and headed to campus by 7:30am! Ascher did great and we stayed until 3:30ish. Kason & Carla met us up at the tailgate and before long Brad & Ragan got there as well! We had lots of fun just hanging out at the tailgate and people watching. (My personal favorite)

After the game we came back to the house and ate Chikfila and hung out with everyone before heading to bed. We were all exhausted. It had been a super long day and Ascher was so tired. However, he didn’t sleep very well at all that night. So not only was it a long day but a very long night.

Sunday morning I met all my friends who had come into town at Hullabaloo for breakfast and to catch up. I am sad I only got to see them for a little while. After we ate brunch we drove to Conroe for my MIL’s birthday celebration. : ) We surprised her and showed up. Mr. Knight grilled us all steaks and we ate and hung out. Hopefully we made her have a special birthday!

Pumpkin Patch

*Ascher is taking a nap so I am determined to get completely caught up before the end of the day that way November I wont be playing catch up*

On October 8th I met Natalie up at the pumpkin patch to take some photos of our babies. Justin thought I was ridiculous but I dressed Ascher up in his pumpkin outfit and off we went. I am so glad I put him in his pumpkin. He looked so cute!!

I love this time of year. It was so fun to watch him look at all the pumpkins and be so alert and he wanted to touch all the pumpkins, put the straw in his mouth, lean forward, etc. I feel like he is the perfect age for this time of year. I am having a blast and loving every minute!!
