Almost Over but Oh so Fun

The trip is coming to an end and I am still not 100% back to speed. Im fine as long as I dont eat : ) Great for the beach right? Anyways, yesterday my summer was made complete. I got to see The Dark Knight. OMG- was it amazing or what!? It is so good. So I am obssessed with Batman Begins so I was super excited about this coming out before everything with Heath. Heath was excellent but Christian Bale stole my heart once again. The whole movie I kept leaning over to mother telling her I wished Batman was real. Jessica loves Spiderman and my super hero is BATMAN. Oh I just get so excited just thinking him. OH I JUST LOVE IT!!

Anyways, today we got up and went shopping where I got my new most prized possession. : ) My new coach purse. I never imagined in 100 years I would get this and am so excited I did. After we went shopping we went to eat. I couldnt. We got back to the hotel and went out to the pool/beach area. We sat out there for a few hours then came back inside and got cooled off and cleaned up. We then went to eat at Carababa's for dinner. I was starving because the last time I ate a full meal was Sunday. I ate but only could eat half. We dont know what is wrong. But it doesnt matter if I feel like crap I have tried my best to suck it up and enjoy the beach even if it means not eating : )
I guess I should go pack. This one is much shorter but I dont feel very well. but I just had to tell everyone about my experience with my love, Batman : ) and also how wonderful my trip to Florida has been. I am extremely blessed and thankful for everything God keeps on giving. Hopefully Ill see you all soon!
Say a prayer for us tomorrow, driving home with no air conditioning STILL. : (

Flordia thus far

We started our journey on Saturday morning, well afternoon. The plan was to leave Kingwood around 9 or 10 so we could eat lunch with my grandma in Lake Charles- but we didnt leave until noonish. To make matters even better, we got in the car and about an hour into the trip I was hot and I never get hot in the car with my mother. HAHA- and then they told me that bad news. WE HAD NO AIR CONDITIONING. It was a horrible last hour and a half of the trip.We got to Lake Charles and ate some lunch then met Heather and Paul (my cousins) newest addition to their family- a beautiful minuate dachshund puppy. They already have one named Piper and now a new one called Mione. They were adorable. I was already missing Pip, thankfully they cured me of my sadness of missing my puppy. Dad went to get the air fixed but since it was 3pm on a Saturday afternoon no one would fix it. They "reset" it and told us that it should work.

Sunday morning at 4:45 I woke up to a horrible stomach ache and was extremely nausea. We were leaving at 5am so I sucked it up. Mom gave me some 7up and I crawled into the backseat of the hot car and went back to sleep. I felt horrible the rest of the day so I slept the WHOLE 8 hour trip, hoping that would make me feel better. Every hour we had to stop because the "resetting" of the air conditioning did NOT work therefore every hour it would go out and we would stop let the car rest and be back on our way. I only remember waking up at like 8 different McDonald's.

We got here and of course our room was not ready. So I walked down to the beach and put my toes in- the water is so clear! Its beautiful. After that mom wanted me to put on my swimsuit so we could get in the pool but I just felt awful still. As long as I stayed still i felt fine but the second I tried to walk or do anything it was a crippling pain. Finally mom bugged me enough : ) so i put on my swimsuit in hopes that maybe getting the pool would make me feel better. wrong. right as we got out there our room was ready. Dad went and got the bags and went to the room and me and mom went out to the pool.

After the pool we came up and I just felt worse and worse. I curled up in a little ball on the couch and went to sleep only to wake up and it still feel AWFUL. Mom was convinced I was fine and told me to get in the shower and push on. I did. We went to this adorable little wharf. It had all types of food and the second we got there and I smelt all of the different foods NAUSEA again. I felt bad but I had to leave. I felt like I was going to vomit everywhere. We came home and I just crawled in bed and went to sleep.

This morning was much better. I felt fine and we went on down to the beach. I sat by the ocean from 11-3. It felt so peaceful, however, there were little kids everywhere and it is extremely crowded considering this is the peak summer time. but it was great. I love the beach. We came inside and now Im sitting here writing so you all we be caught up with my vacation : ) freezing in my swimsuit. Guess I'll go get in the shower but I will end with a funny story.

Around 1 this afternoon a cute little family came and sat in the umbrella next to us. Husband, wife, little boy and little girl. They ran to the ocean and played and played. Around 230ish I hear a little boy SCREAMING AND CRYING- his dad is trying to stay calm and says come here, whats wrong- as this is happening the little boy proceeds to pull down his pants and tell his dad he "got stung right on the tip...right on the tipp daddy!!" He continues to wail. His father was prepared and pulls out something for stings but apparently you arent supposed to put it on "sensitive areas" so the boy starts wailing. I was holding back my laughter. I know it had to feel horrible but it was so funny. Then he starts saying, "Ill never go back in the ocean ever in my life!" "I would rather die than be here!!!" It was highly entertaining.

P.S. Im uploading all my photos to a picasa web album. and my project 365.

So excited

So I have been doing anything all day not to do what needs to be done: PACK. You would think I would be all over this considering I am packing to go to FLORIDA!! I am so excited. I havent been to the beach since my freshman year of college. I am thrilled. Granted its just me, mom and dad but I will treasure these times I have.
Brenna, one of my good friends, has agreed to watch Pippers while I am away. I feel bad. I told her she doesnt know what she is in for. Last time Lauren watched Pip for just the weekend she said he would be waiting on my doorstep. He is quite the handful. I will have to get her a cute present in Florida. She says he will keep her entertained. : ) Hopefully she still feels that way by the time I return.

Anyways, we are leaving Saturday morning to drive to Lake Charles where we will stay the night with my grandma. It will kinda be weird. I havent been back to Lake Charles since the funeral. I have seen grandma, but she has always been in Kingwood- it will be odd to see Grandpa's chair empty- but like Carla said- He is in a better place. We will spend the night in Lake Charles then get up early and drive to San Destin, Florida! We are staying at the Hilton from Sunday-Wednesday then driving home. I will be missing one day of class for one of my classes and two days for the other. I might end up with a B in the one I am missing two but I figured a week on the beach is worth a B.

Also, I was sitting in Harrington between classes when I suddenly had the realization that I take my certification test in two weeks. Saturday August 2nd!!! I called mom and she was like You are so not ready for the test! I am taking my EC-4 and ESL test on the same day. We decided that we would spend our time by the ocean quizzing me while I get some sun. Hopefully the hurricane wont be hitting us.....

The Table Adventure

So I start Methods in the fall and my desk right now is lacking in the space category. Its super cute and very storage efficient for my printer, and a calander and thats about it. Mom and I were discussing not too long ago the fact I would probably need more space to work next semester and be able to spread out and leave a mess for week long projects (not have to worry about cleaning the kitchen table).
I also had in my room a wicker dresser from when I was a baby. It is very sentimental but not very cute in my very "trendy" and cute bedroom.
So I decided to send my baby dresser home and get a chest of drawers (see project 365). Yesterday mom came to see me and brought a drop leaf table which is over a 100 years old for us to paint and put in my bedroom. Here is the documentation of each step.
First we sanded.
Then we primed.
Then we painted.
Then added stencils, then placed in bedroom.
Finished product- looks brand new!

Meeting Avery: Pictures

Justin sent me some of the pictures his mom took on Saturday while we were at their house. I am so glad she got these- I didnt get any of Justin with her or me with her on my camera. I knew God made my hands large for a reason- it's so I can fully enjoy little babies heads and make sure I keep them safe in my arms. I love this picture of the three of us. There is no way you could tell that Ragan had a baby a week ago- she looks great.

I love this one. Mrs. Knight encompassed everything happening at that moment. Me with the baby, cat by my side and Justin playing the piano to the best of his ability. And last but not least, Uncle Justin admiring his new little niece. Arent they cute? We decided that Justin would be great with all girls! : )

Avery Baby

Saturday me justin and kason all drove to katy to see baby avery. She is adorable. We had steaks for dinner, and just spent time together. It was nice to finally be able to see her. We hung out and then drove back to go to Jeremy's 21st Red-Neck Birthday Party. It was fun but we didnt stay long.

Pip did something cute though so I feel the need to share with everyone. He loves staying in the bathroom with me while I shower and then he tries to get in and then runs away. Anyways, I keep his bowls in the bathroom (since chelsea is getting a puppy also i figured it would be better to keep their food seperate) and he was pulling on them (I figured he was trying to tell me he was hungry/thirsty. I look out of the shower only to see him in my dirty clothes hamper. This is not like before where it is just a basket- these things are tall. I dont know how he did it.

Happy Belated Birthday!

Friday was my moms birthday.

I just wanted to write a little shout out to her and tell her how special she is to me.

For those of you who dont know, I talk to my mom at least 4 or 5 times a day. She is one of my best friends. We had a rough patch when I was younger because we are so much alike but I dont know what I would do without her. I hope one day I can be as great of a wife, mom, and hopefully be able to show her up in teaching : ) hehe

I LOVe YOU MOMMY!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

100th Post

So after I posted this I realized it was my 100th post.
It is so exciting. I am so glad I have found this blog and it is so crazy to look back at the beginning of my blogs and it was when Ragan started her's. It seems like yesterday but when I look back at the beginning and it was just a picture of her and brad at the empty lot planing to build their house- now they have a beautiful home and a beautiful baby girl. I love keeping up with everyone through the internet and now I am in the process of making my family start blogging too. Mom has been doing better, she is starting to blog a lot more often. Jessica said she will blog once she has children but I would like to know what is going on in her life now (hint hint). This is also been a very exciting year and a great way to look back at everything in my life. I am soo blessed.

It was a long day, Pip had A LOT of work to do : ) He was sleeping on our homework, so we naturally placed the highlighter in his paws.

How Many Are You? One...

Friday I came back to College Station and we decorated for Cole's birthday party.
Today was Cole's birthday party and it was an all day affair. Colleen woke me up at like 7:45 and told me to get up. I had a headache so I stayed in bed (after she brought me toast and water and alleve). We decorated all morning and people arrived at around 2:30. The rest of the day involved spending time with Pamela & Colleen and all their family. A good time was had by all. The kids played in the baby pool, we sat on the porch and watched them. They hit the pinata. Ate food, opened presents and just spent time together. Overall it was a sucessful party.

Also,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVERY MCCALL!
CONGRATS NEW MOMMY & DADDY!!!!

Brothers

Pip's brother, Carter came to the birthday party today. It was cute. At first they were a little nervous with each other, then they became best friends and played all day. I definitely got the cuter puppy.

?Como se Dice?

For dinner on Thursday night we went out for mom's bday. It’s not till the 18th, but I was home so we decided to celebrate early. They just built a miniature Kemah on Lake Houston so we went and ate a Mexican restaurant there. I insisted we sit outside and right when we got there a great table right on the waterfront had opened up just for us. It was nice.

Take the Money and Run

Thursday me and mom went shopping. I needed some clothes that I could wear to school in the fall since I will be in a classroom two days a week and sometimes four (depending on when I sub). It was fun to buy dresses and shirts and some new shoes : ) Before we left for shopping, Pip showed mom his new trick (stealing money) Mom thought she had lost a large sum of cash and couldnt find it anywhere- she found it and accidently dropped a few dollars on the floor and pip immeditaly ran and grabed it, took it, hid it and came back for another one. Mom thought it was funny so she threw the rest of the pile on the floor with it. I told him to go for the $20's- not the 1's : ) He didnt understand the difference.

Tie-Dyed Puppy

Tie-Dyed Puppy

My Life Lately has been busy (Thank God). I went home and had lots of fun. Wednesday I went home and went to Elissa and we tie-dyed shirts. It was a lot of fun. She had to make them for camp Ozark where she is a counselor for this current session- but she had an extra- so I got to make one too! She was going to do it in the kitchen but I convinced her to go outside. We started dying the shirts and Pip wanted to see the action. We kept pushing him away and he would just frolic through the grass and run around- as we proceeded with the shirts I realize that Pip now has two blue feet and a bright green chin and underside. He had been running through the grass which had all the excess dye in it. We got quite a kick out of it. I came home and Mom insisted we give him a bath (our whole house has new carpet- she was scared of the dye getting on the carpet). It was fun and I needed a break from stress.

I Should Be Sleeping

So I went to bed at 1:30 only to wake up at 3:30.
I layed there and told myself I would go back to sleep.
Not happening.
Its now 4:15 and Im wide awake and listening to music.

I have never been at a loss for words and anyone reading this probably already knows that : ) but I am. I have nothing to say- but feel the need to write. You know that feeling where it hurts to breath and that pain right in your chest is so real...I have it.

I'm ready for the fall semester to start. Where my roomate will be home, everyone will be back in Texas and together again.
I'm tired of being alone.

So I'm going home once it reaches a normal hour. I dont have class the rest of the week, so I am going to go be with my parental units. (I think Mom secretly wants me to come home just so she can play with Pip) : ) Saturday is Cole's Birthday Party so I will have to be back for that but that gives me a few days to hopefully rest and relax. Now its 4:45, guess I should try to go back to sleep.

Why?

Why does he always use the words
That cut the deepest
When he knows how much it hurts me
Oh baby why......

Broken- Lindsay Haun
Wake up to a sunny day not a cloud up in the sky, then it starts to rain
My defenses hit the ground, And they shatter all around.
So open and exposed. But I found strength in the struggle. Face to face with my trouble.

When you're broken in a million little pieces and you're tryin but you cant hold on anymore. Every tear falls down for a reason. Don't you stop believing in your self.
When you're broken.

Little girl don't be so blue, I know what you're goin through. Don't let it beat you up.
Hitting walls and getting scars only makes you who you are...only makes you who you are.
No matter how much your heart is aching, there is beauty in the Breaking....

When you're broken in a million little pieces and you're tryin but you cant hold on anymore. Every tear falls down for a reason. Don't you stop believing in yourself.
When you're broken.

Better days are gonna find you once again every piece will find its place!
When you're broken in a million little pieces and you're tryin but you cant hold on anymore. Every tear falls down for a reason. don't you stop believin in your self
When you're broken.

My other blog has the lyrics to I miss you by Miley Cyrus.

Impossible Laughter

So today has probably been a 25 on a scale of one-ten of bad days. It just sucked. I did what I normally do when upset or having a bad day- CLEAN. I went and worked out and then came home, did my homework and started to vacuum.

I can always count on Pip to make me laugh when it feels like laughing is impossible.

I started vacuuming and he always freaks out and barks at the vacuum from far away. I have under my bed blocked off so he was trapped with no where to go this time. I keep my dirty clothes in a basket under my bed and I can tell you one thing- its time to do laundry. I changed my sheets, so that takes up alot of room but the basket is overflowing and is hard for me to push back under the bed. Anyways, I was vacuuming close to him and he tried to escape but he had no where to go. I laughed to myself and kept vacuuming until I saw something move in my dirty clothes basket.

Pip had managed to squeeze his little body into the basket and had his head sticking out from under the bed barking. I luckily had my camera close by and was able to snap this.

Granted I would rather have had a good day and this add onto it- but life is what it is and sometimes its gonna suck for a little while-so I've got to laugh at everything I can.

Love is...

Love is....
when the other persons happiness is essential to your own.

"is more than three words mumbled before bedtime. Love is sustained by action, a pattern of devotion in the things we do for each other every day."
-Nicholas Sparks

"is happiness given back and forth."

"like swallowing hot chocolate before it has cooled off. It takes you by surprise at first, but keeps you warm for a long time."

"a journey not a destination."

"a noble act of self-giving, offering trust, faith, and loyalty. The more you love, the more you lose a part of yourself, yet you don't become less of who you are; you end up being complete with your loved one."

"like salted water; the more you drink the more your thirst increases."

"is when there are a million things you want to say to someone, but when they look you in the eyes and hold you in their arms nothing in life matters other than being with that person at that moment."

A Love That Will Grow: Philippians 1:3-11

Every time you cross my mind, I break out in exclamations of thanks to God. Each exclamation is a trigger to prayer. I find myself praying for you with a glad heart. I am so pleased that you have continued on in this with us, believing and proclaiming God's Message, from the day you heard it right up to the present. There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.

It's not at all fanciful for me to think this way about you. My prayers and hopes have deep roots in reality. You have, after all, stuck with me all the way from the time I was thrown in jail, put on trial, and came out of it in one piece. All along you have experienced with me the most generous help from God. He knows how much I love and miss you these days. Sometimes I think I feel as strongly about you as Christ does!

So this is my prayer: that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well. Learn to love appropriately. You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush. Live a lover's life, circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of: bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God.
