The Love of a Lake

This morning I got up and headed over to the boys house (Matt, Jerm & Ty) to head to Lake Conroe to go to Jordans lake house for the day! It was great- there was no drama, no problems, just the girls plus jerm and matt! It was such a fun day! Chelsea was a great pool cleaner! Block had to write a paper by noon for dental school so she was busy at work while Jor and Slice chilled the girls (minus Clegg- who didn't feel well) Chelsea & Kimberly on the tube Jordan & Block on the tube- notice their faces...hahaha

Well Justin had a great day relaxing at home while I had a great day having fun at the lake. I think it is so important and good that Justin and I still have friends we go to without each other, granted I would have loved him come to the lake but it was fun to have some girl time and I am sure he thought it was nice to not have me chatty in his ear all day : ) Now I guess its back to the daily grind...

Aggie Football Round 3

This weekend we did the usual...we got up Saturday morning. Justin went to work, I went to school, worked on lesson plans for this upcoming week and then we both met back at home at 1ish and headed up to campus to tailgate for a little while before going to step off! Typical Daniel & Kevin Kason trying really hard to hold it together...not doing so well Daddy Brad with Avery by the horses... I even ran into a good friend from high school who went to OU- who woulda thought we would run into each other at a Aggie tailgate! We talked for quite awhile and it was good to catch up! Cousin Grayson & Cousin Avery loving on each other Daniel pulled Grayson, Avery and me all the way from Step Off back to the tailgate- it was quite a fun ride..as you tell

Saturday was just another regular day for the Knights- gotta love it!

Mrs. Knight's Jungle

My classroom is obviously finished considering tomorrow is Open House and my 4th day as a First grade teacher so here are some pictures of my Jungle! : ) I was super excited about my nametag- our mascot is a racoon!

Aggie Football Round 2

Game two in Aggieland consisted of tailgating, step off and lucky us...the game!!

Daniel & Megan had two extra tickets so we tagged along and went to the game with them! It was a lot of fun! The game was kinda slow but we enjoyed time with our friends, enjoyed living in Aggieland, and of course a Texas Aggie WIN! And of course, as Taylor says, there isn't a weekend without a run in with the cops...JJ that is : )

Tires?

Monday was my first day of school with my kiddos in the classroom with me. I left the apartment super early (as in an hour before I had to be there) because I wanted to make sure I got to school, had time to get ready for my day mentally and still have time to make some copies- well, I go over Hwy 6 by the Super Wal-Mart and BOOM! My front end just goes down and I immediately realize I have had a blowout! I start freaking out because Justin had left at 4:30am for a job so he was far away and I HAD to get to school. Thank the Lord for siblings close by- Taylor drives right by there and stopped and picked me up and I still got to school in time to make some copies-preparing mentally...didn't so much happen but the day went great- but it was a rough start to the morning! Look at my tire!! When the guy changed it after school, he told me he had NEVER seen a tire this bad! I didn't even drive that far on it once it blew- I pulled into a parking lot!!

Crazy Busy & Exhausted

My life has been a whirlwind, but a fun tiring one. So instead of writing a ton- here are some pictures of my room- I have meet the teacher tomorrow from 2-3 and my kiddos arrive in my room on Monday morning! EEK! : )I didn't have our good camera so you can't read them very well and it doesn't show the whole room- but I LOVE IT!! : ) Guess you all will have to come see my room to get the full effect!

MAIL TIME!

At Ross all the teachers have to have a mailbox out front of their classroom for school mail so I took mine home this weekend and made mine pretty : ) Mom is going to add a few more coats and then bring it up to my room later this week-

1st grade

I got a teaching postion!! I am so excited. I am really sad to leave Sam Houston and the Ready Room but this is what I went to school for and I am starting to really get excited about having my very own room! I came home today and Mom and I went shopping to A to Z teaching supply- OMG it was heaven on earth!! I got so much stuff and I am so excited to go home and start putting it in my room! I have decided to go with a jungle theme- so everything, well a lot of the stuff we got is animal...I got every kid a tiger print pencil, tiger and zebra border, tiger and cheetah and zebra paper...all sorts of bulletien board sets that are wild animals! Oh I am so excited! I'll post pictures once I get home but for now here is some of my empty room! But YEAH I'm a teacher!!

Table Put Together

Our table wasn't supposed to arrive for two weeks but they called today and said it was here and ready to be picked up! Justin and I haven't stopped since we got off work. I came home vacuumed, put in three loads of wash, and met Justin up at Furniture Row to pick up our new table! Since 5:30 Justin has been working diligently on putting together the table & chairs. The table wasn't difficult to put together but the chairs took awhile...but it's together and looks great! Thanks baby!! I love you!!

Yippie!! I told Justin now we HAVE to eat dinner at the table, NOT in front of the TV anymore. We are so predictable- right now we both are sitting next to each other on the couch on our computers....aren't we so exciting?!

Dishwashing

On Monday Justin and I were out and about running errands while Kason and Carla were still at the apartment. Carla was super sweet and started the dishwasher for us! Well..she asked Kason "Do I use the Palmolive?" and Kason being in the other room said yeah! Well we do use Palmolive but DISHWASHER Palmolive, not Dish soap Palmolive....this is the result of Dish soap in the dishwasher!!It's alright Carla, I washed my clothes in softener for a year! : )
