New Room

Like I said last night, I moved around my room last night because I was once again bored out of my mind. Here is what it looks like now. The only bad thing is that now the focus is on that white wall where as before it was the pink wall. Oh well, i'll figure something out eventually. I'm not too concerned. Here is a before picture:

As you can probably tell I am going to be writing alot because I have nothing better to do. Today I'm going to go to the grocery storE and take pip for a walk. YIPPIE- oh my life is so exciting!

Oh- P.S. I am please to announce Pip slept in his kennel all night without crying!! : ) He woke up at 7- I took him out, he did his thing- came back in put him back in the kennel and he was back to sleep without a peep till I got him out because I got up! I'm excited for him to actually be learning things. Yesterday I also taught him sit and down. He is learning fast- hopefully it will stay with him. He loves Cheerios! : ) Also, last night I gave him his first bath. He didnt like it but he sat there and let me wash him. Then he was shaking and all wet and looked like a mangy mut- but it was cute.

A Good Nights Sleep

So I am thrilled to announce that Pip loves his new bed. Tonight is his first night sleeping in a kennel so we will see how that goes but he hasn't cried yet and seems to actually kinda like it. Weird I know!? Anyways, I moved around my room tonight and in the process apparently Pip got worn out. At least one of us is getting a good nights sleep.

The One That I Want

So, I am thrilled to have a new member of my family: Pip, but my favorite boy in the world is not so happy about it and has expressed his concern. But I was watching Grease tonight because I was bored out of my mind all alone (minus the pup) and the ending came on and thats how I feel about me n J- he is the one that I want.

Math Sucks!

I have nothing else to say besides: MATH SUCKS. I started my Stat homework tonight and want to cry. So my blog tonight is the lyrics to Jimmy Buffett's song: Math Sucks!

If necessity is the mother of invention
Then I'd like to kill the guy who invented this
The numbers come together in some kind of 3rd dimension
A regular algebraic bliss.
Let's start with something simple
Like one and one ain't three
And two plus two will never get you five
There's fractions in my subtraction
And X don't equal Y
But my homework is bound to multiply

Math sucks (math sucks)Math sucks (math sucks)
I'd like to burn this textbook, I hate this stuff so much!
Math sucks (math sucks)Math sucks (math sucks)
Sometimes I think that I don't know that much--But math sucks!

I got so bored with my homework
I turned on the T.V.
The beauty contest winners were all smiling through their teeth
They asked the new Miss America "Hey babe, can you add up all those bucks?"
She looked puzzled then just said, "Math Sucks!"

Math sucks (math sucks)Math sucks (math sucks)
You don't even have to spell it, all you have to do is yell it
Math sucks (math sucks)Math sucks (math sucks)
Sometimes I think that I don't know that much--But math sucks!

Geometry, trigonometry, and if that don't tax your brain
There are numbers to big to be named (too big to be named)
Numerical precision is a science with a mission
And I think it's gonna drive me insane
Parents fighting with their children and the Congress can't agree,
Teachers and their students are all jousting constantly
Management and labor keep rattling old sabers,
Quacking like those Peabody ducks

Math sucks (quack quack)Math sucks (quack quack)
You don't even have to spell it, all you have to do is yell it!
Math sucks (math sucks)Math sucks (math sucks)
Sometimes I think that I don't know that much--But math sucks!

Math sucks, math sucks, math sucks the big one
Math sucks, math sucks, math sucks the big one

9 hours

Today started out just wonderful. It was the first day of summer school (I'm taking 9 hours 1st session and 6 second session-needless to say I was full of excitement) My class started at ten and of course I'm late. I ran to class only to find the room empty and a note on the door saying they have moved to Room 160- so i proceed to run to room 160 slowly open the door and walk in and find a seat in a room full of people 10 minutes late to class. I sat there for a moment and looked around at everyones desk only to realize I was in an English class which is definitely not Stat 303! So I hurried back to the original room seeing if perhaps I had read the board wrong and gone into the wrong room purely because of my stupidity but no it said Room 160- it was WRONG- by this point I have all but given up- its 10:20 and I have no idea where my class is. I randomly decide to look in the room 161 because I remembered that 161 is where we meet tuesday/thursdays. God must have been looking out for me because at 10:25 I entered into the correct classroom. My teacher doesnt seem as bad as I had thought- he is from Greece and has broken english but is funny and seems like he really is going to try to help us learn the stuff.

After class I came home and ran some errands and after three different bookstores finally was able to find the book I needed for my other class. It was the only one they had and it was brand new. Normally I would be excited because that means no highlighing (my favorite thing) but I was not happy because I was already informed that this would be the last time they would use this book. Hopefully it will be a good book and I wont feel that horrible for spending $85 on a skinny paperback. After errands I read some of my favorite book and decided to take a nap. After waking up and realizing the day was basically over I decided to be semi-productive. I mowed the front yard and did some laundry.

Pip has been with me for the past two days. Since Chelsea is gone I feel safer with an animal with me. Granted Pip weighs less than three pounds and isnt much of a guard dog but I still feel safer when he is here. He is doing very good at becoming potty trained and only has had a few accidents. He is a fast learner and loves his mommy : )

I love "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult. It is by far my favorite book. I read it three years ago and decided that I would read it again. I cant put it down. I just love it. Jodi Picoult has an amazing way with words. As I read I have been high lighting and underlining some of my favorite quotes- which I will share with you since I have nothing else to do besides shower. : )

"God was obviously in some kind of mood on my birthday"

"We've been too busy looking over our shoulders to run headlong into growing up"

"Black Holes are so heavy they absorb everything, even light, right into their center. Moments like this are the same kind of vacuum; no matter what you cling to, you wind up being sucked in."

"Normal, in our house, is like a blanket too short for bed- sometimes it covers you just fine, and others times it leaves you cold and shaking; and worst of all, you never know which of the two it's going to be."

"My daughter, who trusts me to tell her when it's safe to cross the street, to cut her meat into tiny pieces, and to protect her from all sorts of horrible things like large dogs and darkness and loud firecrackers, stares at me with great expectation."

"Her voice, its so full of the future"

"I learn from my own daughter, you dont have to be awake to cry"

Shower time. Love you all.

Horrible yet Hilarious!

So...last night everyone was done with finals so we grilled burgers and all just hung out. I was exhausted from finals so I went home around 1030ish....this morning at 9 my doorbell kept ringing over and over again so I reluctantly got out of bed and went to the door to find Jordan, Megan, Clegg and Kimbo all at my door. They proceeded to come in and as they walked in the door I see Kimbo's face. It is covered with blood and nastiness...she then opens her mouth and thats when i think its a joke because it looks like they blacked out her teeth, only it wasnt black out paint, she is missing her two front teeth!!! Last night, she was on Jeremy's back and he went to put her higher on his back and fell on a crack in the cement...Kimbo went tumbling down FACE FIRST!! The results are as shown:
She has since gone with Clegg to Dallas for Clegg's dad to repair her teeth because her nerve ending are showing and she is in a lot of pain. Though it is awful it is hilarious. One day, she will look back on this and laugh just not today.

FINISHED!!

I'm done!!! I'm officially a senior. As of 8:50 this morning I took my last final and continued to come home and audit for my CLASS RING! It's so exciting. I am now bored out of my mind though because no one else is done and therefore everyone wants me to be quiet. I have since vacuumed my room, done the dishes, took out the trash, cleaned my dresser drawers, and browsed the Internet. I have PT at 5pm this afternoon and again on Thursday at 5 but I might cancel that one and go home for a few days...we will see. My countdown has begun.

Obviously mine will say '09, not '81

NINE DAYS UNTIL DISNEY WORLD:
I can hardly wait. For those of you who don't know, Jordan's father is kind enough to fly and lodge me, Megan, Kimberly, Cheslea and of course Jordan to Disney World for Jordan's birthday! We are leaving on the 15th and coming home on the 21st. We plan on going to Epcot, Universal, Magic Kingdom and one other park. We also plan to have a few days of relaxing at the pool of our hotel. We are staying at the Hard Rock of Orlando for a few nights then the Buena Vista Palace rest of the time. I am sooo excited. Mr. Pace is amazing! : )

EIGHTEEN DAYS UNTIL WEDDING:
After I get home from Disney on the 21st I will have three days before Colleen and Jame's Wedding. My bridesmaid dress came in but it is in Moulton so the girls (Colleen & Pamela) are going to get it while I am gone. Her wedding is on the 24th of May and I am so excited for that as well. This is my first wedding to be in besides my sisters. I am also reading the scripture for the ceremony which is exciting!

Our Dresses

TWO-HUNDRED & TWENTY-THREE DAYS UNTIL STUDENT TEACHING:

I have also begun a countdown to how many days until my student teaching will begin. I look forward to actually having my own classroom (kinda) and actually starting to teach. And I mean, hopefully I will finally be able to be in the same town as Justin which also makes me very happy.
