I was thinking on my way home from bible study this morning and realized in my FIRST year of teaching I...
-was a Kindergarten teacher
- an autism aide
- a 1st grade teacher
and...
- a 3rd grade teacher
Oh, how I long for a home, a school who puts me somewhere and leaves me. I guess i just comes with my profession. I'm praying this next year...I'll be in the same grade all year long!!!!

OMG!
WOW! That is all I can say. I just did Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred and I can hardly move! By tomorrow, I am not going to be able to walk. My whole body is shaking, yet it was only a 20 minute workout but it is NON STOP for 20 minutes! I don't even know what we did that made my whole body shake! OMG! OMG! She claims it gets easier...we will wait and see.
That is pretty much the only thing I did today. It was a rainy day. I went and toured a local gym to see if I wanted to join. We will see- its kinda pricey but I am determined to use it. Its just a matter of me committing to it. I am apparently in a "Get in Shape" mood. I am not fat or over weight, I am "skinny fat." I am just skinny but NOT in shape! I also read my monthly SHAPE magazine today. It is a subscription I LOVE!!! Justin always says, "How many times are you going to read it without doing it?" : ) Hehe...all the things in there SOUND great!
So wish me luck!

Happy Fathers Day Daddy!
I know I am late in this post, but Sunday I went to church with Ragan & Brad and headed to Kingwood for fathers day. So for my daddy....
Happy Belated Fathers Day Daddy! I love you!

You've NEVER skied? Go put on your swimsuit!
Well Saturday morning we (Ragan, Brad, Avery & I) headed up to the lake to clean the boat and have a wonderful Saturday at the lake. One of Kasons buddies came up to the lake and showed us his Cutco Knives- they are SUPER nice, but SUPER expensive! After watching knives and cleaning the boat (well Brad & Mr. Knight washed it, I did scrub some seats but it was 99.9% done by the boys) and it looked GREAT! After we ate, we sat around on the porch and then decided to go out on the boat. I told them I had never skied and they all were like WHAT!? So we got on the boat and had SO SO much fun.
However, I did NOT get up.
Mrs. Knight was a great photographer! Thank you! It was a great Saturday! Thank you again!
Sorority Sisters
Thursday night I went over to Ragans, my sister-in-law & sorority sister. We headed straight to ZUMBA! I am now OBSESSED!! It was so much fun. I spent the night with her and the family and Friday I got back up and headed to Colleens to finish planning Pamela's bridal shower. After planning the shower I headed back to Ragans and we headed to dinner to meet and suprise our other sorority sister, Elissa. (She knew she was eating with Ragan but not me). It was a lot of fun. We ate a Papa's Burger. And Avery peed in the potty while we were there too!!! YIPPIE!! Good job little girl...all grown up!

Aren't they a cute little family?

Pets, Babies & Brides
Justin was gone again so I headed to Katy to hang out with Pip's family and my friends, their owners. : ) Pip had the time of his life! The little dog on my pillow is Pip's younger sister (liter after pip) and the dog with gray hair next to Pip is Pip's daddy. I slept on the couch and woke up to this lovely sight...
It was a good time. We all hung out together and it was so much fun to look at her cute little preggy tummy with little baby girl swimming around inside!
Pamela & I headed over to her cousins house to plan her baby shower. I am super excited. I am going to use my crucit to make decorations! Pamela & colleen are sisters. Pamela is getting married October 10th and Colleen is having her baby September 24th! CRAZINESS! So now that we had planned the baby shower, we were off to try on bridesmaids dresses and plan Pamelas bridal shower.
The dresses will be in Truffle (dark brown). She only cares about the color. Which dress do yall like better?
Option 1?
Option 2?
Ya'll let me know!? I've gotta order it by Saturday!

Just a thought....
Greatest man in History, named Jesus, had no servants, yet they called him master.
Had no degree, yet they called him Teacher.
Had no medicines, yet they called him healer.
He had no army, yet kings feared him.
He won no military battles, yet he conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified him.
He was buried in a tomb, yet he lives today.

My First Video
I took my first FLIP video today. It is just a simple video of my crazy dog running in circles around the backyard. This is a very calm version actually...normally its more of a circle eight he does.

Real Estate
So I have been hired by my Realtor whom I just love to photograph her houses she has listed. I have already done two and we are meeting tomorrow to go over flyers, etc.
When you are looking for houses, what is something you MUST see in the photos to go look at the house!?

Presents!!
So before Justin left I thought I would be a cute wife and make Justin a cute little care package for him while he is gone. (new 10th Avenue North CD, contact solution, toothpaste, trail mix, candy, breakfast bars)
I was so proud yet once again he out does me. I had given him my present and he was like I got you a present too! Go look on the computer...and what do I see...
http://www.carnival.com/
He booked us a cruise for our year anniversary!! I am so excited. I have never been on a cruise. We are going to Progresso and Cozumel with 2 days at sea!! I can hardly wait. I already have a countdown...43 days. It will be here before we know it.

And my mom got us a present as well....
I am so excited to use it on the cruise and for teaching next year!!! Thanks mommy...youre the best!
Jenn's Baby Shower
My sister's roommate in college is almost like a 2nd sister to me. We are very alike and she is just the cutest thing ever. She is pregnant and due in July with a little boy whose name will be Noah. So Friday after the last day of school, I packed up and headed back to Kingwood again to see the fam and too go to Jenn's baby shower. We drove 2 hours to the shower and 2 hours home. Yesterday was a long day but totally worth it to see the bubbling mommy-to-be!! Next time I see her it will be with little Noah in her arms...so excited for Jenn!!! .JPG)

Let Summer Begin...
Before Justin left for another job we enjoyed the weather and being together. We grilled out and played with Pip in the backyard! It was such a simple evening yet just perfect. It was the last week of school and it was just what I needed to get me through the last few days...

Memorial Day & Life-Long Friends
After Bandera, Monday morning I got up and headed towards Kingwood. My parents life long friends had driven in from California to visit. The last time they were in Texas was 1994!!! By the time I got to Kingwood it was like no time had passed. I hadn't seen my parents that happy in so long. It is so nice to see good friends pick up right where they left off. I hope Justin and I will have friendships like theirs.

I got here and we headed to Micheals and picked up our latest obsession. Julie is an expert so she trained mother and I.
A crucit machine!! We made swirlies for the mirror on vinyl and we made a bunch of different things on scrapbook paper. We haven't even begun to get into everything this machine can do!! It is so exciting! I am going to have the best bulletin boards next year because of this thing!! : )
We spent the day playing with that, our cameras (Julie loves photography as well) and eating. I had to head back to CS that night so my visit was short lived but I loved being able to see Jim & Julie! It seemed like a good time was had by all.
Julie is going to help me with my photography! She goes to a photography school and knows all sorts of cool stuff!! I have already asked her advice a number of times in less than a week! I love having her as my latest and greatest resource!! : )

Small Town USA
For memorial day weekend we headed to Bandera, Texas. We left right after I got out of school on Friday and began our 4 hour journey to "small town USA." Justin prepared me by telling me a story of the last time he was there... (Bandera is where Justins best friend grew up so Justin has been there during college a time or two)Justin and the rest of the gang were driving down main street where they came across a saloon. (hint #1) To make it even better...instead of cars parked out front...the horses were tied up...straight out of a western movie! Still blows my mind that there are towns still out there like this...LOVED it!
Once we arrive we ate some yummy tacos and just all sat around and talked. Justins BFF's wife and I get along great so when the boys are together, Megan & I just do our own thing and we are content with that. : ) Saturday morning we got up and headed to the Memorial Day Parade (again small town USA). Here a few of the tons of pictures I took...more on Lauren Knight Photography in a few days.

After the parade we were dying of heat so we went back to the house got some sunscreen and headed to the Medina River to float...awwwww my favorite part of the weekend. It was a 2 hour float but ended up taking us close to 3-3.5. I, of course, was the baby who got freaked out any time I heard any type of "rapids" (trust me, they weren't rapids!). J protected me of course and he is the one who ran into the trees a few times : )
After our float, we headed back to the house to shower and clean up before we went to the Bandera Rodeo. Bandera is the "Cowboy Capital of the World" so this was a legit rodeo. Loved IT! If any of you have seen Miley Cyrus movie where they go to the rodeo Bandera rodeo is straight out of that movie. It was so much fun to be in a small town with a small town atmosphere.
It was all over too soon- it almost felt like a dream where we went back in time...we even had fried Oreo's and a funnel cake! : ) Before we knew it Sunday morning came around and it was time to load up and head home but only after Grandma made a fantastic breakfast for us all.
Oh I almost forgot, Sunday before we left I got to go let out the goats I fell in love. I told Justin I want a goat now. Here are some pictures...
The small goat was bottle fed so it LOVES females. It followed us everywhere. It even got in the golf kart with us...twice.
So that was our adventure with small town USA...until next year...

Going to the Chapel...
Last weekend (May 22) was the BIG weekend. The weekend we have been waiting for for almost SEVEN years!!
The wedding was ABSOLUTELY beautiful. I don't think I have ever gone to a prettier wedding. Carla looked beautiful and they both beamed of happiness. I don't have any pictures though (minus the ones we took in the photo booth...yeah that's right a photo booth at their wedding-AMAZING) Carla has put some photos up on her blog of everything. I took a bunch of photos at the rehearsal which she also posted (Thanks for the shout out on the blog sister!) She also has blogged about the wedding and the honeymoon! And trust me, after you read about her honeymoon and look at her pictures you'll wanna go on a cruise. (Like for real, I looked at them and Justin booked us a cruise for this summer- I've never been on one so I am super pumped!) Anyways, back to the point...
Carla, I am so glad I can finally call you sister. You keep me sane and I love how grounded you are in your faith. If anyone can handle the Knight boys, its us- but as a team! haha : ) Love you!!
CARLA & KASON GOT MARRIED!!

Brother Sister
A few weeks ago I photographed a brother sister pair on campus. I loved shooting them! The sister is actually a dear friend of mine. We have grown up together and been friends since middle school, went on to college together where we were twins in our sorority (same big sis) and still are good friends. I told her brother he can't already be in college, he was just her little brother who was in elementary school!!! Here are a few of my favorites...

Tribes Training & Graduations
I am determined tonight to catch up on my blogging world. Almost a month ago I went to my last two days of TRIBES training. It is such a great training and I really enjoyed myself. I have been using the strategies in my classroom almost every day. I also got to know a girl that teaches 2nd grade at my school a lot better and I really enjoyed hanging out with her as well. I wouldn't have wanted to go to training with anyone else. We had to drive to Houston and spend the night for two nights together so we definitely knew each other by the end of it : ) I wish I would have taken some pictures of everyone at training but no such luck.
I hurried home on Friday to get to Kason's (my brother in law) graduation. We got there a good hour before it started but when you graduate from Texas A&M there are A LOT of people there. We sat with the whole family and honestly were bored out of our minds. Who goes to a graduation and has fun? Even when I graduated I remember sitting next to Kristy and both of us being like...when is this gonna be over!? Granted, she was pregnant and wanted it to be over more than me. : ) I did take a few pictures and the one of me and my niece I stole from my sister-in-law!
Ella, my niece and I played with our programs and fanned each other in between sniffing in each other ears and her taking pictures of everyone. Gotta love 2.5 year olds!
Kason getting his diploma. I know these pictures aren't very good but I was exhausted and grouchy at graduation so I wasn't in the mood to be taking pictures...but I tired my best.
Lastly, what is an Aggie graduation without the singing of The Spirit of Aggieland and the FAMOUS war hymn ended with an enthusiastic WHOOP!!
