Yippie!

I called today and set up my screening interiew for College Staion ISD. The woman said I was in luck because they were all full and he had said he wasnt taking anymore interviews but just this morning opened another afternoon for interviews! So...May 5th at 1:15pm I will be going in for my screening interview! I am super excited. I know that this is just another step but I believe it is a God thing that he opened another day for interviews. I keep telling myself God will provide and he will and does. YIPPIE!

Easter Weekend

Saturday we drove to Kingwood to spend some time with my sister and Roy and my parentals. We got here and relaxed for a little while then Justin and I went shopping to the mall where we picked up the cookie cake for Justin & Jessicas birthday. And also picked up a little present for Jessica from both of us. We got home and mom had gotten everything ready to dye Easter eggs. This is a family tradition around here, and you are never too old for that. Even if you throw the Easter eggs away in a few days, you MUST dye eggs. The Easter bunny had come early and made two baskets full of all kinds of candy. The Easter bunny decided to do couples baskets. He knows us so well. ; ) So we dyed Easter eggs with designs on them, all of our monograms (JRR, LKJ, KHM), crosses and two birthday eggs for the birthday kids!

After we finished dying the eggs we all went back in the backyard. Pip is learning how to play fetch (I am just working on the whole release thing- he likes to hold onto it) Dad started grilling out and we all just chilled in the backyard for awhile. The weather was so pretty and we decided it would probably be the last time we could comfortably sit and eat outside. So we ate dinner then had cake and ice cream and opened presents-

After dinner and presents we went inside and watched Marley & Me. It was such a good movie, however, I balled the whole end of the movie and when it went off. Not the best movie to watch 3 weeks after the loss of my baby boy. Sunday morning we went to church and had a wonderful Easter Sunday.

Overall it was a wonderful Easter Weekend. I got to see Justin THURSDAY-SUNDAY that's an extra day than usual! I have to take what I can get. : ) I am making appointments and getting stuff done for the rest of the week! YIPPIE!! I am done and can do what I need to get done before 3:30 everyday!

Surround Sound? Clean Closet?

Thursday after school was over I got home after crying and packed up the car and headed to College Station to meet Justin at the apartment and get some more stuff done. Of course for me, that means clean out the closet and get organized, however, for Justin it means connecting the surround sound for the TV, therefore the closet is still a disaster. I am going to go through a bunch of stuff later this week. We also got so so so much done on Saturday afternoon/evening. We went to Target 4 times and WalMart 5 times. It was such a tiring day. However we did purchase a new bedspread and curtains for the bedroom. (When I feel like writing more, Ill tell the whole story of why we went to the store 9 times within 4 hours!) Anyways, I know some of you have seen Carla's blog with the pictures but a lot of people haven't so I am going to add some new ones from this weekend. (For those of you who haven't seen the other pictures, Ill add those tomorrow, I'm on Moms computer and the photos aren't on here)

Last Day

Thursday was my last day at Greentree. : ( It was such a good day. They threw me a surprise going away party. It was super sweet! I had the whole day of full teaching then the last hour we had the party. We had ice cream sundaes and they presented me with flowers and my going away present which is absolutely AMAZING! It is everything I could dream of. They gave me gift cards to office depot, office max and Barnes and noble, tucked away in a basket FULL of goodies! It was like heaven or Christmas for a teacher! It has posters, markers, pencils, stickers, thumb tacks, sticky tac, border supplies, decorations for your classroom! All sorts of stuff! Here is a picture of my flowers and the basket. Since my kids got me flowers Justin got me beautiful plant. It has white blooms on it. I cant wait for them to start blooming. I keep telling him it is our "love fern" : )

I will miss my kids and Alice terribly! I think I might actually miss Alice more than the kids. I don't know what I am going to do without her! I was so blessed to have her as my mentor and she will always ALWAYS have a special special place in my heart. The past 60 days have been the best days of my life and the best start to a blossoming teaching career! The kids also made me homemade cards and I cried so hard when I read it...It began... "Good Times" - you taught us, you helped us, you tested us, you read to us, but most of all you loved us and we love you. I cried so hard as I read it. I think it was so rough because I was sitting in our rocking chair and all the kids were circled around me hugging me reading the card together. Ugh...I cry even now thinking about it.
