Bride to Be...and Suprises!

Sunday I went Amanda's bridal shower. It was so much fun. I am so glad I made the trip out! She got all sorts of presents! She looks great and you could tell she was such a bride- she didn't stop smiling the whole time! So cute! Here are some pictures...

Sabrina & I All the Delta Gammas who came to the shower Amanda & her Bridesmaids Amanda opening her presents- she really loved her bowls with lids!

After the shower was over, I was only a few streets over from Ragan & Brad's so I surprised them and stopped by. They had just got home from the grocery store and were still unpacking the bags! I was so glad they were home. I really wish I wasn't an hour away, because it was so good just sitting around talking, feeding Avery, watching her try her hardest to stand up on her own! She is just getting so big!!

Today I started my three week stint (minus Spring Break) of being full time. (After that, I will only have one week left! Can you believe it?) Today was good. The kids are getting used to my classroom management so the day flew by and was over before I knew it. Tomorrow is the TAKS Reading test for 3rd grade. Since I am not certified I will be subbing/teaching 2nd grade all day while a 2nd grade teacher administers it to 3rd/4th grade. I am a little nervous just because I know the kids have got to be quiet tomorrow and you know how kids are with subs! Hopefully, their teacher has told them how quiet they must be. We will see....

However, the only thing getting me through this week is...I GET TO SEE JUSTIN THIS WEEKEND!!! I am going to Corpus and then we are going to South Padre! I am sooooooooo happy!! We haven't seen each other in a month! We have never gone this long without each other!! I am so ready to be married and never have to leave each other again!

Oh to be in love....

Quick Update

1. Shady Oaks is finished! It is beautiful! Better than I could have imagined (considering the last time I saw it, it wasn't finished).
2. We have a photographer and a videographer! 4 Sale By Photo is doing it!! We booked them tonight! I am super excited!

However, regardless of our pictures, our food, our location, the people, the favors, the dress, the tux, and everything else...in the end it will be the day I become Justin's wife and that is all the matters.

3.5 months to go....

Bluebonnet Books 2009-2010

**Update** I read another one today. What to do about Alice. It was cute. It was about Theodore Roosevelt daughter. It was another good one. It was the first one I have read that was a fiction picture book I enjoyed and would read again. One of the things it said, I believe a lot of fathers feel like this about their daughters. It is said that Theodore said, "I can be the President of the United States and control Alice, but simply can NOT do both!"

Today I started something for my future classroom. Growing up I remember LOVING the bluebonnet books and reading all of them! So today I decided I would read the 2009-2010 Bluebonnet List before I have my own class that way I can talk about the books with the kids and read some of them with the kids. So today I went and got a public library card and checked out 4 bluebonnet books. I have already finished 3 of them. I read:
Pale Male: Citizen Hawk of New York City (not very good- story was ok pictures werent that great), Frogs This one was great- its a non-fiction with real photos and information on all different types of frogs, I can see little boys LOVING this book!!!and lastly I read Maybelle in the Soup-this book was about a cockroach and her friend the flea who want to eat people food on a plate not on the floor as left overs. It was cute but Frogs was my favorite. I also checked out The Penderwicks on Gardam Street but it is a longer chapter book so it might take me a day or two.

Anyways- I am super excited and cant wait to give you an update on the other books I have read. So far, Frogs was my favorite by far. VERY INTERESTING and the PICTURES WERE GREAT! *can definetly see Cannon, Gunnar, Grayson, Adam & Zach loving this one*

You're Invited!

Tonight I have been playing with my invitations! This is no where near the finished product I was just playing around trying to figure out how to print on them, how to put them together, you know the tedious stuff that everyone else thinks is a pain in the butt but to a bride its like opening presents! : ) So..here is the sample (Once again, the font will be different, the wording is different, etc. I was just playing- also my photos are being odd and wont rotate- sorry)Also, I took one photo of the actual invitation but since it has personal info and info about where it is and time and etc. I figured I should be safe and not post that so if you would like to see what they are looking like...email me and I will send it too you! : )

My Friends

Before I got sick, I was able to spend a very nice dinner with my best friends. I didn't take any pictures with my camera but I stole some of these from Jordan- We may all be in separate places but put us together for 2 minutes and its like we never left each other. I am sad that I will never live in the same place as any of them again!

Embossing Queens

Yesterday was a very busy day. I am on the road to recovery and basically am back to normal minus my sinus but you can still function for the most part with a runny nose and headache. So...I got up and Dad and I went and took my car to get it's oil changed then I came home and loaded up on medicine so that by the afternoon my headache would be gone and I would be able to get a lot of stuff done. I layed back down until noonish then Mom and I got ready and were off shopping! We first went to Dillards and they had NO wedding shoes. It was rather disappointing. I knew exactly what I wanted though so that makes it a little more difficult. I didn't want to wear heals and knew my back and feet would be killing me by the end of the night if I chose to wear heals- so I originally thought I wanted ballet slippers but with it being summer I figured sandals would be better and I found the perfect pair! After no success at Dillards, we left and headed over to DSW where I found them. After we got the shoes we still had a few minutes to waste before we headed downtown to meet a photographer so we ran into Michaels and picked up the candy scoops for the candy bar and the bags that the guest will use to place their candy in. I got 4 sets of white, orange and red bags. On the red and orange bags I will be embossing a stamp that says, "We love, because he loved us first. 1st John 4:19" And on the white bags I am going to stencil a pretty K on them in orange and red paint : ) Now I just need to go get the jars for the candy and the candy.

Also, mom had found really cute bubbles for when we leave but they were like $8 for 36 of them. Well I went to Wal-Mart looking for candy scoops (which they didn't have) and found 100 bubbles for $15 and they look just like the ones from Michaels!!! I was super excited about the deal I had found! They are little test tubes of bubbles with a love knot on the top. I bought some red and orange ribbon and today I am going to start tying the ribbon to the knots. : ) I am so excited. We got so much done. It may have just been the little things like candy scoops and wedding shoes but they are important too! I will take some pictures later today and post them.

After DSW & Michaels, we headed to the photographer. I really liked him and he seemed good but I still am not sold. He seemed very traditional, and I am anything but traditional. Granted by the time we got to the photographer I wasn't feeling very well, so I am still searching...

*Update* Mom and I have been embossing the bags and they are turning out super cute. We have finished half of the orange and half of the red. I am in still in search of a K stencil, so the white ones have yet to be started. However, here is how the others are coming along...
