Vegas Part II

**LOTS & LOTS OF PHOTOS**

Sunday was our busiest day. We had a blast- thankfully my head felt better and I made sure to drink lots of water and I'm pretty sure waking up and taking more meds really saved the day. Anyways- We went and got tram tickets (We ended up saving money being sick because we got a 2 day pass instead of 3- all about perspective right?)

We met up at the MGM with Ragan & Brad, Katie & Randy and Amber & Brad for the buffet brunch. Oh my goodness. Heaven. I ate and ate and ate. It was delicious!! I decided that I wanted my picture in the lobby of every casino. (Haha) So here is the first one...MGM--

After we ate we decided to start walking around that end of the strip...here is a glimpse into our day thru my photos... (sorry for the photo overload)

We split up for the afternoon, facetimed with the bubby and before long it was time to go to the show. We got tickets to go see Rodney Carrington. He was extremely crude but hilarious. Before we went to the show we of course had to take some photos : )

 After the show they stayed and gambled for a little while but I wanted to see the strip at night (Since I was sick the night before.) We walked through Paris, watched the water show at the Bellagio and ended the night watching the volcano at the Mirage. 

It was a great day. I was EXHAUSTED when we got back to the hotel. We had a busy- wonderful day!! 

Vegas Part I

Last weekend we got away. This was our first trip away from Ascher. I have left Ascher with Justin and vice versa but we haven't gone away just the two of us since he has been born. It was so much fun to just be Justin and Lauren again. We drove to Kingwood Friday afternoon to drop off the bubby. Once he was asleep for the night we drove over to Ragan & Brad's to spend the night since our flight left at 7:15 on Saturday morning. We left the house at 5:00 and got to airport pumped and excited about our vaca!!

I had the best seat- I was in between my hubby and SIL! : ) 

Granted- Justin went to sleep on the plane but Ragan and I chatted the whole time. We had a blast before 7 am. (Two hour time change- so we left Houston at 7, had a three hour flight but landed in Vegas at 8 am). It was the most fun I've ever had on a plane! Once we got there we split up because we were staying at Venetian and they were staying at MGM. So we tried to check in, dropped off our luggage and started exploring. 

I had never been to Vegas so I was in awe. I couldn't believe the homeleess people holding signs that said "Why lie? I need beer!" AWFUL! We started walking towards the MGM and walked and walked and walked. 

We finally met up with them and walked back to Margartiaville. We had a lunch which was WAY overpriced and the food was NOT that good. I was highly disappointed and left hungry and with a headache. Ragan & Brad walked back down to our hotel with us and checked it out. We spotted Justin Timberlake on our way and had to stop and say Hi. ; ) (he is wax)

And of course we had to take some pictures...

After walking around a bit- we went and waited for our luggage so we could go up to our room and take a nap before all meeting back up later that night. 

Well...that was the plan anyways- I had a headache but figured if I took a nap I'd wait up and feel better. Wrong. I woke up and it was a million times worse!! I thought if I just got up, got ready -- ate some dinner and took some advil I'd be ok. 

So we walked down to the little store and get me some advil- however at this point I feel like I'm gonna vomit and my little headache has turned into full blown migraine. I can't take the advil because I think I'm gonna throw up so we trek over to Harrahs to get tram tickets and head to MGM...well I had to make a pit stop in the MGM bathroom and decided it would be better if we went back to hotel room. BOOO! I always get a headache on vacation! It sucks! So we went back to room where Justin told me go to sleep--- oh right? No can do when your head feels like its gonna explode. Justin went and got himself some dinner & brought it back to room. Finally around 9 I took some advil and was able to go to sleep. So basically I went to sleep that afternoon, woke up and went back to sleep. Oh it was the worst. Poor Justin- he said he needs a new travel buddy. 

Thankfully Sunday I woke up feeling a little better- took some more advil, showered and prayed for a good day.

Something New

Why do all good ideas come to you in the middle of the night? 

The other night (I must have had too much coke) I was laying wide awake and my mind was racing. I was thinking about my blog and how much I have loved and enjoyed documenting our life. So much has happened since I started blogging...literally. When I started it was 2007 and I was a junior in college and was so proud of my 4.0 & my good looking new boyfriend...

to 2009 graduating and getting married

and to now...sweet little Ascher has been part of our family for over a year now! 

Crazy. Anyways- I started thinking about how I used to blog just to write to get my emotions and feelings out. I stopped when I got pregnant and life got busy. I miss just writing. 

Currently, my blog is just a diary of what we do (which I love and will continue to do) but I also want to just start writing. Maybe even have a post here and there without photos---(ooooooo...haha) 

I also had an idea that is in the works. I'll let you know before the debut!! : ) So stick around

Memorial Day Weekend: Monday: Aschers 1st Boat Ride

Monday we decided we would go back out to Lake Conroe to see Justin's parents. His mom had been in Virginia with our new niece and got home Sunday afternoon so Monday morning we headed back to the lake- just a different part from where we were on Saturday. 

Shortly after we got there, Carla, Megan & me went down to the yacht club and I took some maternity pictures for Megan. Here a few of my favorites

After pictures we changed into our swimsuits and all hung out. Gigi cooked a fabulous meal for us. We chowed down and then went back to hanging out. The girls all hung out by the pool while the boys worked on getting the jet skis and boats up and running.

After awhile we decided that Ascher should go on his first ever boat ride! I was so nervous. I broke my back on the back of a jet ski so water things make me nervous. I still LOVE it but I wanted to make sure Justin or Kason drove slow and just enjoyed the water- no funny business. I wanted a family photo before we got on the boat : )

He absolutely loved being on the boat. He talked, and smiled and laughed the whole time. It was the cutest little thing. However, put him in the pool and he panics. Clings to you for dear life. We are going to do Mommy & me swim lessons in July. : ) 

We had a fabulous day out on the lake with family & friends. So thankful they are close by. Before long- it was time to hit the road and come on home. It was a wonderful, fun packed weekend!! We loved every minute!!

P.S. This is my 900th post!!! WHOA BABY! I've been blogging since 2007-- thats crazy!
