Sunday we came home and played in the baby pool. Ascher loves his water table so put the blow up pool next to his water table and he was in heaven. Justin went and got some Adirondack chairs and we chilled in the backyard and watched as our sweet boy splashed in the water. It was a perfect Sunday afternoon.

ooooo water
Pip was standing guard
He liked to go back and forth between the two

When did he get so big!? He didn't throw a tantrum coming inside this time. He actually went to the door when he was done playing. He was tired from the lake on Saturday and playing the backyard was just the right amount of energy he needed to get out before bath & bedtime! I just love our little life and simple days like this. Really makes you enjoy the small things.

Memorial Day Weekend Saturday
We had such a fun and busy memorial day weekend! Time just flew by!! Friday night we drove out to lake Conroe to our friends, Kim & Andrews lake house. (Technically its her parents but they lived there for awhile & her parents live in Tennessee) Their house is amazing!! It is three stories with a guest house that is bigger than our house! It is actually currently for sale- if your in the market for a big lake house (8,000 square feet)- let me know! ; )
Saturday we got up and got in our swimsuits to get in the pool! It was totally the perfect overcast day so the babies weren't too hot!
While the babies napped Kim & I relaxed in the pool. We laughed and said your house is too big when you are downstairs and the baby monitor doesn't work because its out of range. Crazy big! I mean this house has an elevator!! Kim suggested I call my parents and see if they wanted to come out and eat dinner. Mom & Dad were all about it and said they would be there for dinner! : ) They got there and the men all grilled while we watched the babies.

It was a great night and we all hung out- ate lots of yummy food- watched the babies play and just enjoyed each other's company! Sunday morning we got up and headed home. Justin mowed the lawn and we took it easy until late afternoon when we pulled out the baby pool...to be continued

Ascher's 1 year photos
So I was a little late but they are still super cute! Here are some of my favorites...
Im super annoyed though. I always pay extra to get the CD and then I do whatever I want with the photos later. (Even though you aren't supposed too I dont think- but whatever I paid for the CD) Well this is my first CD that has that stupid logo on the bottom of the photo. UGH so annoying!

14 Months 5-29-13
Ascher
14 months
May 29, 2013
I can't believe I am actually writing this on his actual 14 month birthday! We had a low key day today. He is getting two teeth and they are the worst ones yet. Pamela & Marley came over and played this afternoon and this evening we went on a family walk. Here is what Ascher has been up to this month...
- still wearing a size 4 diaper- I got some Pampers Cruisers and after getting used to Target brand I actually think Target holds more! I miss my target diapers. Got to go tomorrow and get some
- still weighs 22 lbs & wearing 12 month clothes- 18 month is comfy on him as well. Depends on the brand
- FIVE teeth! Wow- in two months he has gone from no teeth to two teeth to FIVE, almost 6!! The sixth one will be popped out by morning I'm sure of it.
- no more bottles (sometimes I give in and give him one before he goes to sleep- its so sad when he sits there and begs for one)
- still two naps a day
- not a fan of bath time once his hair/face gets wet- I put some bath balls in the tub and that has been distracting him
- hums himself to sleep- sweetest thing ever
- carries around water bottles & puts them in vases/trucks/ anything that they will fit in
- could eat goldfish and animal crackers at 7 am
- loves his trucks- pushes them around like they are driving all day, then puts them together on the couch- also drives his trucks along the couch, entertainment, etc.- its so cute that he understands how they are supposed to move
- climbing on everything
- turns in circles until he falls over laughing
- loves being outside and throws major fit when we come inside
- separation anxiety at all time high
Things he does when you ask:
- you wanna eat? He goes to high chair
- Need a new diaper? Goes to room
- Go get me shoes. He goes and gets shoes (granted sometimes they are Justins or not the pair I was talking about but a shoe is a shoe)
Things he says:
- mama, dad, pip, truck, bubble, car, apple, water, ice dog, cat, tractor, ok, bye, go, cold, juice, boat, choo
- Apple is his favorite. I think he is trying to say Ascher- but he does LOVE apples. Its funny- almost everything is apple. It sounds like AP--PLE.
- I'm impressed with his talking. Mom says I didn't talk near as much (She actually took me to the doc because I wasn't talking)

Last Week- Busy Busy Busy!
Last week was CRAZY BUSY! We had an appointment every day of the week!
Monday I took Ascher to doctor because his BM's have been messed up. I took him off milk (soy), put him back on, oh gosh when will the milk saga ever end!? What I ended up doing was just cutting how much milk he is getting and slowly edging him back on it. It pisses me off when they say he doesn't need milk. I'm sorry I know there is research saying they dont and research saying they do. I'm on the side of they need it. Plus he loves his milk. He goes the fridge and says milk milk (in sign language). So sad. Anyways- after the doctor we ran to Target. Got some diapers, him a swim trunk and some other necessities.
Monday afternoon Pip & Ascher were having some fun...Pip really wanted a goldfish...
Tuesday morning Mom drove in from Dallas- she had been helping Jessica take care of Hadley and came to visit us on her way home (its only 28 miles out of the way). I am so thankful she came because it made my appointments so much faster because I didn't have to lug him in and out of the car. Tuesday evening I took Pip to get his haircut.
Wednesday Mom and I went nuts Spring Cleaning. We scrubbed baseboards, behind toliets, windows, blinds, all the stuff no one wants to clean. We worked so hard! We had decided that Tuesday & Wednesday would be our cleaning days and Thursday we would have fun. I took Pip to the vet on Wednesday morning and he cost a fortune. The cost of a puppy dog. After the vet, we got back to cleaning. Ascher was so chill hanging out...
and before long it was ready for nap time. I love how my sweet boy needs me to go to sleep. I made Mom come take a picture of us. He was passed out. I love our snuggle time.
He hadn't even been cleaning and he was passed out. Playing with Grammy for two days wore him out!!
Thursday we got up and went to get Ascher's photos taken. I am only a two months late...better late than never. I love how they turned out. He was quite the character though. I was exhausted by the time we were done. I chased him around the whole time. Phew!
Before we left to go take pictures, Mom went to the car for her shoes and he followed her to the window...how cute is that!? Class of 2034! WHOOP!
It was a crazy busy week. But I feel like I got a lot accomplished before our fun filled weekend!! I'll be back later with a post of the adorable photos we got and our fun weekend!! : ) Lots of fun!!

He fell asleep while we were looking through the pictures. It was the first time in a long time he was so tired he passed out in my arms. So sweet.
After pictures we got Panera Bread for lunch and went to Stein Mart for a quilt/pillow and blanket for my guest room. Our guest room now looks much more colorful and summer like : ) When we got home I had my yearly OB appointment so Mom watched Ascher one last time before she headed home. It was a crazy busy week. But I feel like I got a lot accomplished before our fun filled weekend!! I'll be back later with a post of the adorable photos we got and our fun weekend!! : ) Lots of fun!!
