32 Weeks

Week 32

2-10-12

Size of the baby: a jimaca, (whatever that is) 4.5 pounds, 19 inches

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +11

Maternity Clothes: yup. Got two new dresses and a new top this week! Justin and I have been so blessed with people letting me borrow their maternity clothes that I really haven't had to purchase that much- other than pants and even then my cousins dress pants have been a life saver. So I got a new dress for the shower on Saturday & a new dress for my work shower. : ) 


Gender: our little man

Movement: like crazy. I play him music from my phone all the time. Its crazy. I need Justin to video it one night. My whole phone moves all around. He likes classical, Christina Perry but his favorite is Tao Cruiz. : ) I used to think he moved all the time- HA! He moved earlier on but now he is squirming like crazy. All the time! 

Sleep: terrible this week due to heartburn & getting more difficult to roll over along with every time I roll over I have to pee.  

What I miss: not feeling so large, not being moody but mostly just excited at how close we are getting!

Cravings: applesauce- ice (which now can be attributed to being anemic-read on)- 

Symptoms: OMG- heartburn. I thought I had it bad before but Tuesday night I wanted to die. I sat up, walked around, drank water, ate Tums, everything- NOTHING worked. I was awake for two hours. Miserable. (Rosa's Taco Tuesday is to blame)Thursday night was no better than Tuesday. I was awake half the night. Finally after propping up four pillows & my snoogle pillow I was able to go back to sleep but woke up with a terrible crick in my neck. Can't win. I am super tired all the time but keep pushing through.- I'm probably tired because I can't sleep at night due to heartburn! : ) I am SUPER MOODY! Mom & Justin both say I haven't been very nice. Its like I'm PMSing all the time. (but only to them). I also get super irritated super quick. 

Big News this week:

*I got my hair cut & colored--yay! no more two toned hair

*First "tiny toes" class at hospital- it was very informative & got me even more excited- it was all about our babies care at the hospital

*Wednesday we discovered I have developed a linea nigera. EEEK!

*Thursday the doctor called and told me I am severely anemic. Wonderful right!? I had been feeling super tired but accredited it to the fact that I am in my third trimester. They said it probably was both. They called me in some prescription strength iron. : ) Gotta boost my iron! We had burgers for dinner last night and steak on Monday. More red meat for me!!

Baby Shower

This past weekend we were blessed with our 2nd baby shower. It was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL event. My sister, cousin, and two of my best friends (Pamela & Colleen) threw it for us and I couldn't have even dreamed of more. We drove on Friday night to Kingwood (where I suffered for 6 hours of Braxton Hicks)- *we even stopped at a gas station half way there so I could get out and walk- the gas station guy told Justin he may need to take me to the hospital followed by, "you better not break your water in my store" I told him I had plenty of time before that happens.* Once we arrived on Friday night we all hung out. My cousin from Louisiana who is due one week before me and my aunt drove in for the shower. 


Saturday morning we got up and hung out before getting ready for the shower. Just like with the last shower I'll let the photos tell the story.

Overall, it was a beautiful shower and our little man was spoiled rotten!!! We are very blessed and can not say thank you enough!!! 

Nursery Shelves

So I am a pinterest addict. I have about 800 nursery ideas on my pinterest nursery board. Well I loved this look. (I mean I am a teacher/library aide)

Well our room isn't that big so I looked for alternatives to this look. I found this...

and then my mom found this website...where they made these

 so after showing all of these ideas to Justin he said ooo I can make those. So off to Lowes we went. A full Sunday later and Justin had made the most beautiful shelves I've ever seen!! Here is the progress & the finished result...

and he got a PB Kids chair that fits perfectly under the shelves for his very own reading nook! Perfect! Hubby did an AMAZING job and I'm so proud!! : )  

31 Weeks

Week 31

2-3-12

Size of the baby: weighs as much as 4 oranges this week, over 16 inches long, and weighs apx. 3.3 pounds

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  +11 - went to doctor on Tuesday- I gained 4 pounds in 2 weeks! EEK! I went 30 weeks and gained a total of 7- now the end comes and I'm gonna blow up. He said I need to get on it though so that I will produce enough milk. Plus it is normal to gain 25-35 pounds by this point so I am still under normal but still freaks me out.

Maternity Clothes: yup- starting to poke out even more- Doc said on Tuesday he already had no more room so he is going to start going straight out! Which is causing some major cramps right at my rib cage.

Gender: little man

Movement: mover & shaker- I thought my stomach moved a lot before- but NO- it moves BIG time now. I can see it moving out of the corner of my eye now. MOVER! 

Sleep: exhausted but I can't sleep. miserable. I want to sleep so so so so bad. I sleep for about an hour, then get up and pee and can't go back to sleep OR I am cramping so bad I wake up OR I roll over and heartburn hits me so hard it wakes me up. 

What I miss: not having heartburn, not being moody, & being able to sleep/lay on my back

Cravings: crushed ice...hmmmm soo good. Wish the snow cone places would open already- I would go get just the ice! 

Symptoms: moody, heartburn,(OMG- its bad!- this morning I had a graham cracker with peanut butter on it and thought I was a flame breathing dragon- EVERYTHING causes it) acne on my chin, backache (getting worse) , swollen feet

Big News this week:

*had our baby shower in Kingwood

*cramped for 6 hours on Friday 2/3/12

*Justin had to go to Duncan for a conference 

*Doctors appointment- everything looks good
*Got my last blood work done (hopefully as long as everything stays looking good)

Here is Week 31: I didn't take my fireplace photo this week but I did take one at my shower we can use. I'm so bad! This is the FIRST week I have missed! EEK! Bad Lauren! And here is another photo of my cousin & I- we are exactly one week apart

30 Week

Week 30

Size of the baby: a large cabbage- weighs 3 pounds, 15 3/4 inches

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  +7

Maternity Clothes: trying to mix & match maternity with non-maternity. Like..maternity shirt with non maternity cardigans but ONLY maternity pants- I've even begun to sleep in Justins shirts because my tshirts aren't comfortable to roll over in.

Gender: my little man

Movement: I love when I'm in the shower and the hot water runs over my tummy. I feel like he is stretching out with the hot water. He still moves A LOT. Squirmy worm.

Sleep: I feel like every week I get more and more tired. Sleeping deep when I sleep, but once I wake up- can't go back to sleep.

What I miss: feeling like me- I'm super moody. 

Cravings: just crushed ice this week

Symptoms: heartburn, sore gums, acne, backache (getting worse) & oh so sleepy

Big News this week:

*Nursery progress big time this week

*Had our Storybook Shower- which was perfect
*I had a rough week hence why I am just now doing 30 week post & its slacking in detail. Sorry.

Circus Tent

So today I felt like the circus. My shirt reminded me of the tent and my belly was hiding under it. Along with the fact that I fixed my hair this morning, walked outside and it was so humid my hair poofed so not only was I the tent, but my hair made me the lion in the circus as well. : )

I normally don't post bare belly photos but OMG when we took this photo I couldn't believe how much I had changed in just ONE week!! CRAZY!!

Storybook Shower

Saturday Justin and I were blessed with a "Storybook Shower." It was such a fun afternoon. I'll let the pictures tell the story.

We were blessed with all sorts of storybooks, bath stuff, our bouncer, diaper genie, hangers, and of course some cute little man clothes. After the shower, we took everything home and worked in the nursery the rest of the afternoon. It is finally starting to look like a nursery. All we are missing furniture wise is the glider! I can't wait for it to all come together. Now I have started thinking about decor. : )

Thank you to everyone who helped and came to our shower! It was a wonderful baby shower! We are so blessed and feel so loved!! Baby Knight already has lots of friends who love him!!
