It's A....

I will have the time of my life...

fighting dragons with you
playing with snails
digging in the dirt/mud
building forts
kissing your scraped knees
knowing the name of every construction tool
being your biggest fan in all you do
being proud of you in all you try

but most of all,
I will have the time of my life
just being your mom.

Yup..
it's a B-O-Y!!!!
I thought I only had one Knight in shinning armor, but now I will have two.

15 weeks

Baby & Momma Knight @ 15 weeks

Size of baby: 4 inches. also compared to a navel orange or your fist

sweet baby looking at mommy & daddy-
I keep staring at this photo and freaking out! That little baby is hanging out INSIDE me. And its OUR baby. CRAZY~
Total Weight Gain/Loss: negative 8. : ( However, I feel fat.

Maternity Clothes: This week was the first time I have had to unbutton my pants & wear my belly band. Its not like when your clothes don't fit and you make them by squeezing into them...no it HURTS to try and squeeze a zipper up and button closed. I'll stick to leaving my pants undone with a belly band on.  This morning I had a major pity party. I thought I couldn't wait for my pants not to fit me but now it sucks.  I felt fat, my hair flat, short and my face pale and gross. I know..hormones right!? UGH! Pity Party for me. Justin told me I was fat, but beautiful. Thanks hunny.

Gender: well...we know but its a secret for now. : ) : ) : )

Movement: nope not that I am sure is the baby- however when we saw Baby Knight at the doctor it kicked really hard- it was so neat to watch it move like that- I can't wait to FEEL it kick like that!

Sleep: I still sleep really well but if I wake up I CAN NOT get back to sleep. I can't get comfortable, especially if I have to get up and pee!

What I miss: it hurts to sleep on my tummy now. It feels like its stretching and crampy. so i guess I miss sleeping on my tummy and cute clothes- also it is getting cold and I already didn't have good winter clothes so now that nothing fits it makes it even worse!!!

Cravings: I haven't really had any this week. still just drinking my orange juice like its going out of style

Symptoms: Monday I had to go home half day because low blood pressure and weakness. I called the doctor and he said...go eat salty and go home. (Don't worry- I ate sonic tater tots before going to sleep). I have been eating more and drinking Gatorade every day since and that seems to help. I think I need the salt and electrolytes in the Gatorade because today I haven't had any and I'm not feeling too hot. May not be connected- but maybe...Other than that, I'm just tired. Don't feel like doing anything but laying around.

Here is week 15

Gig 'Em Aggies

This past weekend we had a full house. Thursday night Daniel & Megan arrived (since Justin had off Friday). We all sat up and talked and I ended up staying up later than I have since I have been pregnant! EEK! Needless to say, Friday morning came early for me while the three of them snoozed on. They were super nice though and they all brought me lunch (Fuzzy's Tacos- DELISH- exactly what I needed to get me through the day).

After school, I arrived home to pumpkin spice cookies baking in the oven! LOVE! I have never had the privilege of walking into my own home and someone else baking cookies! Megan rocks! After eating some cookies and milk we headed to Iola to visit with our friends Kristen & JJ. It was so much fun. We all just hung out and ate pizza. Justin, Daniel & JJ were all in the Corps together in college. Might as well be brothers now. We had fun and before long it was time to put their baby boy to sleep so we headed out and came home. We started watching a movie and before long Kason & Carla arrived. We finished the movie, chatted about our plan for the next day and decided we should go to sleep since the game was at 11 the next morning.

Daniel & Megan went super early and tailgated. The four of us chose to wait and go right at game time. We got up there and all sat around watching the game on the TV they had hooked up. We walked over to the other tailgate where our friends were having their son's 3rd birthday party. The majority of our family was at this tailgate so we walked back and forth between the two tailgates. I wasn't feeling too hot so thankfully Kason & Carla were going home too so I hitched a ride home with them. It wasn't long after we got home I tossed my cookies. I guess I tried to do too much. : ( The rest of the night I was a blob. Here are some pictures from the tailgate. (All stolen from Facebook)
The Mister & Misses
Aunt Carla saying Hi to Baby Knight
Carla & Kason- house divided.
5 out of our 10 nieces/nephews
Grayson, Ella, Emerson, Avery & Kinley
Sunday we got up and went to IHOP. DELISH! After IHOP we went to Best Buy and looked at computers, cameras (I am looking for a new point & shoot to carry around so I don't have to carry my 20 pound camera everywhere, any advice?), Kindles, TVs, etc. You can't send Justin, Kason & Daniel into Best Buy without looking at everything. The rest of the day after everyone left I spent laying on the couch, throwing up, laying in the bed, and sleeping. Justin worked in the yard and went grocery shopping for us. : ) That night we skyped with the family. It was neat. We all were on one call and we could see everyone. Here is a photo Ragan took on her phone of all of us skyping. Oh the joy of technology. Cambrey is in Virginia, Kason & Ragan in Houston, Gigi in Conroe and us in College Station. CRAZY!
Kason is in top corner, then Gigi. Bottom three are Cambrey, Justin & I and Ragan
Yesterday was rough. Had to go home half day. Low blood pressure, weak, felt like I was going to pass out. Called doctor he told me to go home and rest. I feel better today, I suppose. Better than yesterday that's for sure. We go to our monthly doctor appt today! Woohoo!! Can't wait to hear little beans heartbeat. I'm gonna get Justin to record it this time!

14 Weeks

Baby & Momma Knight @ 14 weeks

Size of baby: according to www.babycenter.com the baby is the size of a lemon

Total Weight Gain/Loss: negative 9 this week. strange cause I haven't thrown up anymore but yet lost a pound this week

Maternity Clothes:  no but some of pants that sit higher are starting to get tight but low rise jeans and what not are still falling off. My friend let me borrow this really pretty maxi dress that's maternity but its kinda summery so I wore it yesterday. It just looked like a pretty dress- you couldn't tell its maternity.

Gender: One month till we find out!!!! EEEK All wives tales and guesses are leading towards boy. But we will see. pink? blue? blue? pink?

Movement: nope. I thought I felt something the other day when Justin opened the door and I about jumped out of my skin. It was a weird twitch in my lower left abdomen. I dunno though. I have convinced myself it wasn't but when I do start feeling something I'll let you know if what I felt was indeed Baby Knight

Sleep: I am not taking my daily naps anymore like I was last month. Still napping- just not daily. : )  Once I am asleep at night though, I am OUT like a light. I don't even hear Justin coming to bed anymore. However, once I wake up (be it 3 am or 6:15am) I CAN'T go back to sleep. It takes me a good thirty minutes.

What I miss: still missing food- I'm doing MUCH better but there are still certain things that turn my stomach. I also miss feeling cute. I feel like I am such a frump, sickly person every day. I wanna look cute!

Cravings: orange juice. salty in the morning (mid-morning snack: goldfish, cheese-its) - sweet in the afternoon (after lunch snack: blow pop, sour patch kids, chocolate raisins)

Symptoms

WEAK.
This past Tuesday I thought I was going to die! I felt funny at school all day. Not sick, just funny. Like my arms were achy, my legs were achy, I didn't want to move from my chair. When school got out I went to the car and thought my arms were going to fall off carrying my purse to the car. By the time I got home I was so weak I felt like I had just run a marathon. (which I DON'T do). I laid down. I went to get the blood pressure machine out of the bathroom (thought maybe that was my problem). I had to sit in the bathroom because I couldnt stand back up to get back in bed. It was terrible. Once I got back in bed I thought for sure I was going to pass out. I was miserable. Thankfully, I have a wonderful husband who brought me chicken in bite size pieces and mashed potatoes. Once I ate my blood pressure went back up and I felt a little better. I just stayed in bed the rest of the night. I also drank three big things of water before going to bed (I am terrible at drinking enough water). I have felt ok since.
EMOTIONAL.
I just wanna cry or scream at everyone. Yesterday I was watching Gene Simons Family Jewels crying like a  baby. But then some people I just wanna slap. I blame my hormones. : )

Here is my Week 14 Photo. I have on a black tank so its kinda hard to see cause it blends in with the black fireplace cover we have.

This Weekend

Friday after school I got my hair cut. YIKEs! So, my hair has been growing since 2009. I cut it off right after we got married but then decided I liked it long so I let it grow. However, with being pregnant my hormones are everywhere! My hair was tangly, curly, heavy, flat to my head, just not cute anymore. Plus I haven't had the energy to fix it everyday which just adds to the nastiness so I took the plunge. I cut it off. Granted, it is still at my shoulders but to me all my hair is gone. : ( It is okay but I am thankful my vitamins and hormones make my hair grow fast. It should be okay by Christmas?? hopefully.
excuse my tired look- that's normal now.
After getting my hair cut my whole family "4-way" talked. I was on the phone with my sister, then my dad called so we added him in and then decided why not add mom in on this conversation if possible! oh Steve Jobs- thank you. : ) It was neat- it was like we were all together. Mom started talking about dinner and before you know it I was packing my bags and heading to Kingwood. Justin was out of town this weekend and I just felt like I needed to go see my parents. A lot has been going on and I thought it would be nice to be there for them. I got there and we ate dinner and caught up.

Saturday Mom and I decided we would go look at Babies R Us. We don't have one in College Station and I had never been to one. We just wanted to get a feel for what all is out there. The one in Humble is a little store connected to a Toy R Us so it isn't very big and doesn't carry a lot but Mom and I were both overwhelmed!! (in a good way). We decided that everyone in the family is going to need to get second jobs to pay for all the baby stuff! haha! It was fun to look around at everything and get some ideas going in my head. After leaving Babies R Us we went and got some ice cream, french fries & a burger (eaten in that order too-hehe). I was tired from our outing so I took a nap on the couch. We ordered La Madeline for dinner and watched the Aggie football game. I was stressed the whole game- even when we had a lead!! Thank goodness for a win!

After the game I got some wonderful news!! My old roommate/ best friend (one of NANNNY) got engaged!! You know, the one whose wedding we planed back on Labor Day! (haha) I am so excited for her.
Isn't she BEAUTIFUL!?
She is going to be an absolutely beautiful bride! I can't wait to help with whatever she needs! I told her I would come help her do whatever she needed and she told me okay and that while I did that, she would do whatever I needed. Haha! : ) Chelsea & I lived together our Sophomore, Junior & Senior year of college. (Sophomore year we were suite mates in the sorority house & junior and senior year we lived the two of us in a house). Chelsea is the reason I met my husband. We had a rough patch (I think living with your best friend does that) but once we talked it out and both of us grew up, I can't imagine her not being one of my very best friends. She is one of those people who would do anything for you. I can't wait to watch her become Mrs. Self!! EEEKKK SOOO EXCITED! Oh and how could I forget.
 BEA-U-TI-FUL
Sunday we got up and went to church. The sermon was on the beatitude "Blessed are the pure in heart." It was really good. Maybe this afternoon I'll do a blog on it. There were some key points I really liked & want to remember. After church we came home and I took a cat nap for like twenty minutes, ate some chicken salad, read the Sunday newspaper (by read I mean looked at the sale papers & cut out some coupons), and then we ordered Carababas for lunch. (it was raining and I didn't feel like going out to a restaurant) Yum.  After lunch we watched some NFL, I took an hour nap listening to the rain pound on the roof (a wonderful sound) before getting on the road and coming on home.

Sorry this was really long. Today is Columbus Day so there are no kids at school so I am just chilling in the library for the day.

Week 13

One of these days I'll get caught up on the baby blog and will stop boring all of you with my weekly updates, but until then you get to suck it up and have them. Really I am doing this more for a journal for me so it totally won't offend me if you choose not to read. : )

13 weeks

Size of baby: a nutter butter (preferably covered in chocolate- haha)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: negative 8. better than last week. I think it was the steak and mashed potatoes hubby made us for dinner the other night. yummy. However, my clothes are actually baggy on me. My rings are spinning like crazy too. Today we are wearing our school shirts and I ordered a Medium because I knew by the end of the year I would need it- well today it is huge. Anyways, a little 2nd grade boy goes, "Is your shirt like a triple X or something?" He continued to say it looked like it was eating me. haha! only 2nd graders...

Maternity Clothes:  nope- fitting back into some clothes  I used to not be able to wear anymore

Gender: I still think boy as does Justin. I did have a dream it was a girl though. so who knows?!

Movement: nope

Sleep: still could sleep at the drop of a dime

What I miss: my energy and my appetite. I keep thinking of all these things I want to do but then when I get up to do them I end up sitting on the floor feeling like I'm going to die - telling myself maybe you'll have more energy tomorrow. One day soon. (such as straightening my hair this morning- that took WAY too much work) And my appetite- oh how I miss you. I want to eat and food taste good and I want to eat like a cow because I can (yeah yeah I know thats not good for me, but currently thats the doctors orders-hehe). Oh how I long for the day my love of food returns to me...

Cravings: still blowpops. I don't know how much of it is cravings and how much of it just gets me through the day. I think it helps having something in my mouth. Esp during lunch duty when all the smells gross me out. Plus-- its sugar. : )

Symptoms: Well...Monday was vomit day. Tuesday was migraine day. Today has been good so far. We will see how the day/week progresses. I am thankful that my bad days have slowed to only a few a week instead of daily. Each morning and night I make sure and thank God for my sickness. Crazy right? Don't worry I also beg him to take it away. Well, I am a totally anxious person and if I wasn't sick I would be so worried something was wrong so in a way it sucks but I am thankful because it means bean is growing and strong.

13 Weeks Pregnant
13 Weeks Pregnant

Justin planted a tree in the backyard so I thought it would be neat to take our weekly photo out there too.(see not only how I am changing but also the tree) Normally, I will stick to the fireplace but I liked this one this week. : )

Random

1. Bean is like clock work. I can feel fine all week. Come Monday morning, 11 am my head is hung around the toilet seat. Oh little baby- when will you stop?! Mom says the bean is very dependable. Ha! However, the positive is that it has only been one bad day per week instead of daily- like it was.

2. This past weekend we did NOTHING! It was glorious! I love football season and being busy every weekend, but we have had company every weekend since football started. (Labor day) so it was nice to just be the two of us for a weekend. I have never watched so much football in my life. Saturday we watched college football all day & Sunday the NFL.

3. Church was really good Sunday. We had the Lord's supper and his sermon really moved me. To think of Jesus dying on the cross for us- can't even fathom the depth of the love.

4. I cry at everything. All the time.

5. Sunday I drove to the yogurt store, Spoons and got $4 worth of yogurt topped with fruit goodness. It totally hit the spot for my afternoon snack. DELISH! Thinking about going back today...if only it wasn't so expensive. (I guess I could just get less and it wouldn't be as much)

6. I am home today with a migraine. pure misery. until you have had a migraine- don't talk to me about headaches. Thankfully the doctor is going to call in a rx for a med you can take while pregnant. Thank you Jesus!

7. I have a doctor appt at 3:30 for my back. If you remember in July I had a spot removed and then had to have more removed- well anyways it hasn't healed properly and hurts to touch & itches when clothes touch it & is red and puffy. Going to have him check it out.

8. Justin has become OBSESSED with our yard. Some terrible weed invaded and it was a lost cause. The weed was either going to take over or Justin was going to have to kill everything in order to kill the week. Well- he did the ladder. He killed it all. So the backyard is pretty rough but no one ever sees that. The front yard became his project. He spent hours tearing out old dead grass. Well Monday he had off. He went and bought sod and re-sodded the majority of our front yard. Then when I get home I'm like thats a big patch- much bigger than when I left for work. He proceeds to tell me that once he got started he just kept ripping out old grass and putting new grass in. Oh Justin. Then my favorite part- he bought and planted a tree for the backyard!! It looks fabulous!! Way to go bubby!!
