Biggest Loser

So at school they are having a biggest loser competition based on percentage. I have never been one to join in on these things considering I never used to gain weight and could eat whatever I wanted. Don't get me wrong- I still eat whatever I want but now I gain weight with it.

I went and talked to the nurse about it- telling her that since I got married I have gained some weight which is pure fat and wanted to lose it by turning it into muscle. I have always been skinny but I am totally  "skinny fat." I have NO MUSCLE whatsoever.

In high school I was a trainer. Water coolers were my weights and running to the middle of the field with my fanny pack was my cardio. Never been much of an athlete.

After discussing with the nurse we decided that we would go against each other. The nurse won last year and got a lot of slack from everyone (she is tiny like me) so instead of dealing with everyone being sore losers upset we decided we would just do it together.

Yesterday I started keeping track of what I am eating. I don't eat a lot but I don't exercise at all. That's the problem. In college I still was moving around, going to class, going out, etc. now I go to work, come home, sit on the couch, eat, shower, sit on the couch and eat some more. Not healthy. So wish me luck. Friday is the weigh-in and we will begin. May 27th is the last day. Got some work to do!! : ) I'll keep you updated- this afternoon- 3 miles.

Yippie

This weekend was very eventful. Saturday morning J and I got up and headed to Houston where we would spend the day car shopping. We both had made our minds up that we were gonna get the new explorer, however, they are no where to be found. All the dealers either had none or had one or two but were "Limited" so a lot more expensive So we pulled into one dealership that said they didn't have any when we checked online but just thought we would double check. I pulled in- sitting in the car while J ran to see if they even had any and he flags me out of the car and that's when I see her. The beauty. PERFECT! A candy red explorer xlt. It had everything we had talked about- PLUS MORE!! We drove it around and I was SOLD. We spent the rest of the day dealing and finally drove off the lot in my beautiful new baby.

However, I did tear up getting my stuff out of my old explorer. That was my first car. My daddy gave me that car. I turned 16 with that car. I have a lot of memories with that car. It was good to me. Lasted me 8 years. Thank you daddy bear.

Pip's New Friend

UGH! This week could NOT HAVE BEEN LONGER. I was so ready for today. I have just not had a good week. Hence- the fact that I am just now blogging and probably overloading your google reader with the amount of blogs I just did. I have been sitting here forever!

Tonight I let Pip out in the backyard. He has been obsessed with our neighbor ever since she got a puppy. Always trying to get his nose under the fence- even digging (a little). Well a few nights ago I went over to her backyard and we let them actually play instead of teasing them from opposite sides of the fence. To say they liked each other is an understatement. They were in heaven. They played for a good two hours while my neighbor and I caught up.

So catch back up to tonight...I let Pip out and he immediately runs to the fence and Izzie is there within seconds trying her hardest to get to him. Before we know it- Izzie has crawled completely under the fence and is now running and playing in our backyard with Pip. They were in heaven again. So cute. Pip has a new friend with the capability to crawl under the fence to be with him. Hilarious and so cute!

Pip & Izzie taking a break from their chase fest

This is a photo my neighbor took before Izzie learned she could get under the fence. This was a daily occurrence. One nose under the fence- then the other.  That is Izzie on the left and Pip's nose under the fence.

Our Last Day

The pictures do this day justice. This day was so much fun and you can tell just by looking at the pictures how much fun everyone was having. It was the perfect end to a wonderful vacation

Friday morning we got up and got on the road. We arrived to my parents (who were watching the dog) after midnight Friday night. We passed out as soon as we got to the house. Saturday morning we slept in and then got up and mom made up muffins, pancakes, eggs, sausage and bacon! After breakfast, Dad left to go get Grandma and we headed home.

It was good to get home and get ready for our week but Spring Break 2011 we will never forget. Thank you Gigi & K-Dan!!

Day Four: Caverns. Photos. Blueridge Parkway.

We did a lot this day. First we went to the Linville Caverns. Really neat. I had never been in a cavern before so it was really fun for me. I even brought up a dice made with some of the stone along with a pretty pinkish-white bracelet that is really pretty.

And on our way home we took a different route and drove all through the Blueridge Parkway. We stopped at some scenic routes and even did a little hiking.

It was so much fun. We came home, ate dinner and got in the hot tub. It was FREEZING! It was crazy that we were in a bathing suit yet there was snow on the ground. COLD! It was a wonderful ending to a wonderful day.

Day Three: Snowed In

We woke up to snow falling. Technically we werent snowed in but none of us love to drive in the snow and it was perfect for sledding. We all hung around the house, went outside to sled when we wanted, came in, snacked, hung out together...
