Christmas Comes Early

As you all know, Pip is my baby and I consider him my first born. But today at Best Buy we added our new child, a Canon 50D Digital S-LR camera!
We are both so excited! We have been playing with it all night. We have so many pictures of the walls, water bottles, anything around the apartment! There is so much to learn and read! We decided that this was our Christmas to each other, just a few months in advance. We had a coupon for Best Buy that expired today we figured we should act! I can't wait to take so many pictures and Justin is just as excited!!
It would only fit that the first picture on our new baby would be of the first baby, Pip!! He is scared of the flash and the noise it makes- but he will be getting used to it! Then we played around with our rings.
Now it is time for bed...it is late and I have school tomorrow. Another week starts...only 4 days! Any suggestions of what I should go photograph!?!?! YIPPIE!!!
...so much to learn

Joys of Aggieland

Though the traffic gets worse and the lines get longer, living in Aggieland is great! As Saturday rolled around and everyone's facebook status seemed to be..."wishing I was in cs" or "can't believe I'm missing the game" I was able to get to experience another season kick off! We got up and headed over to Taylors to have lunch together before Justin and I headed to campus to meet up with Daniel & Megan & Steven at the B-Co tailgate. We chilled there for a little while before heading over to the quad for stepoff. It was Kasons first game as Band Commander and he did so well yelling at the top of his lungs. It was kinda weird to think like he said one word and the whole quad had eyes on him and he was commanding the band! CRAZY! Justin took a video on his phone and emailed it to me.

So proud of my little brother-in-law!!
After step off we all headed back to the tailgate before Justin and Dad went into the game, while all of us headed back to Taylors to hang out until the game was over. It is so nice to have all your siblings and their spouses together- it happens rarely so when all 10 (well 9) are together it is memories to cherish. I wish Jessica & Roy lived closer so we could just chill with them, the way we chill with the Cokers!

This morning we got up and went to eat with Cambrey and Taylor before Taylor had to take Cambrey back to Houston to catch her flight. We have had a very lazy afternoon and both of us are very thankful for no work tomorrow! I am getting better, but now I have lost my voice COMPLETELY. Justin likes it, he says he is enjoying the quiet! : )

First Day of School

So growing up on the first day of school we would pose for mom and she would snap a photo of our first day of school, so this year I had to do it for my first day of school. However, this time I go as the teacher, not the student! WEIRD!!
So this picture is for you Mom & for Elissa : )

Changes in the Kitchen

So Justin and I have been contemplating buying a new kitchen table and we finally bit the bullet and got one! We both really like it. It doesn't come in for two weeks though. : ( But that will make it all the more exciting once it arrives! This was our first big purchase together and we were so excited and can't wait to serve many meals on it!

The picture shows 8 chairs and with the table fully extended. We got 4 chairs- we don't need 8 yet! : ) We kept telling the sales lady we wanted a table that we could grow into. It is so weird to talk like that about furniture and know that as husband and wife we made this purchase. And to know we will have many memories of our first anniversary dinner, kids messes, bills to be paid, birthday parties, etc. all at this kitchen table. I'm sure there will be more pictures to come once we actually get the table and it is set up in the apartment, but for now- this picture will have to do!

Sick

So my kiddos are great. I work with one or two students each week. Depending on the child, sometimes in the classroom, sometimes in the ready room. This week I was with M, a 2nd grader who has severe autism and is on the level of a 4 year old. I stayed in the ready room with her all week and she already is picking up so much. It is amazing to watch the growth these kids! Anyways, last week I was with C and J- two 1st graders, cutest things ever- they have a lot more time in the classroom and J went home on Thursday with a bad sinus infection working its way into strep throat so I immediately started taking Airbourne and my vitamins but wouldn't you know it...I got sick. I have felt miserable the past three days. I went to the doctor today and he put me on three different medicines to cure me of this nasty crud. Thankfully though a three day weekend with my hubby who doesn't have to work, a full house of friends and family and a good ol' Aggie football game! So by Tuesday, I hopefully will be back to 100%- next week I start work with D- who also has severe autism and he is 5- also as cute as can be, but a screamer that's for sure! : )

True Happiness

Look at that love...oh how I love my husband!!

Last weekend Justin was out of town and wasn't supposed to be home until Tuesday so I was sad I had a weekend by myself, but Saturday morning Justin texted me and told me he would be home by 2!! YIPPIE!! I was so excited, I hurried and made brownies and he was here before I knew it. Not only did he arrive on Saturday but he had a bag in hand....I have the best husband in the world!! I have been telling Justin that I really wanted new perfume because I was out and I don't like buying perfume because it cost so much- apparently my hints were taken into consideration! He came home at 2, and had to leave again at 7 to drive 4 hours back to San Antonio and he came home just to see me!! Have I told you I have the best husband in the world!?

I hear them

Today was quite the Monday. The kids were off the walls. We figured it has to be a full moon or something because they all were in some type of mood. Little J (I wont ever use names), is in 1st grade and is the cutest thing ever. Today he slept most of the morning due to recovery from illness but once he woke up he was a little ball of fire. I am standing at his schedule with him directing him to check his schedule so we can continue with our day. At this point he proceeds to says..."Excuse me, Excuse me...Can I talk to you for a minute?!" I say yes and he starts to hug me, however he isn't hugging me anymore when he puts his face against my stomach and says "I hear the babies!" We explained to him there are no babies in my tummy but he continued on with his ear against my tummy. (His aide from last year is pregnant with twins so we think he got me confused with her) So all day, "I hear the babies" and "Are the babies ok?" and NO there are NO babies. It was quite the day. Because after that, I got kicked in the stomach, punched in the nose and kicked all over. However, at the end of the day, I still love my job and love watching the progress of these little youngsters!! Say a prayer, we are getting three MORE new ones on Wednesday- that adds our total to 11!!!
